I'm not going to bother. Who would want to buy these now? Also, $50 transfer fee, we'd barely get anything for them.
Well I was thinking Windows users - but seriously they still want a f**king transfer fee? I think they have taken enough of my money over the years

They both need to grow up and get their sht together, as far as I am concerned. Amazing products or not. Highly unprofessional behaviour. If not they both need to sell the company to Zynaptiq and split the money and move on.
I wish they would do one of those.

It would be a real shame if something as well put together as Aether went down the sh!tter tbh.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Seems to be a pretty one sided thing AFAIC. Only one party decided that it was a good idea to throw shit publicly.

Nothing can replace them but these days i am happy with the Logic intern FX (especially ChromaVerb).
In general most DAWs stock FX (and even synths) are as good or better as any third party thing you can buy.
So best for me would be if Apple bought all the 2CAudio stuff and include it in the next major update.
At least i am sure that there will be no trouble with future updates.
Beside sample libraries (and maybe 2 third party synths) there is nothing I would miss really these days.
But I must say until now all my 2CAudio plug-ins are working (more or less).
Kaleidoscope would be the most irreplaceable tool i could imagine from them.
I guess maybe it is also more profitable for developers to sell their souls to the devil (means one of these big companies).

Yep, Chromaverb as algorithmic reverb and Space Designer as IR reverb. Can’t go wring there. Logic’s FX are good.

I don't think this will happen but it might require a new incarnation. Though as many have suggested, there are some serious trust issues now.

I have no idea what I would replace Breeze with but I'm also not worrying about it right now.

Post

What i really like about Breeze 2 and Precedence is the via one GUI multi-instance settings.
It seems there is nothing quite this out there.
But life goes on.....nothing to wait for.

And it might not be important but ChromaVerb has the best GUI for me from any reverb plug-in. At least with an M1 it's nice since my old i7 could not handle all the fancy GUI magic without frying my legs.

Tbh I've popped on again to see if there's any updates shame theyve destroyed themselves but the plugins works as is.
Tbh as mentioned Liquidsonics are superb and the recent Tai Chi is lovely.
I'm a great biased fan of Liquids revs and the recent ducking feature is a great implementation.

Valhalla is also a great cheap option.

Post

I was a big fan and user.
Replaced it with Valhalla (room, plate, vvv, supernova) and reverbfoundry tai chi.

Also Pro-R but i used pro-r before so it wasn’t replacing anything

Assuming realistic-ish space is what you're looking for, Nimbus and R4 had been good replacement for me for Aether at least. For the stupid price izotope letting them go it's hard to beat (also bit sad for all the money I gave EA before they sold to izotope, but we all knew that was coming)

Despite they're likely going to languish, I'm thankful 2C products are all just serial and normal installers. At least they can live on in my satellite machine for a long while..

yeah people always knock ilok but challenge response could be a nightmare in a situation like this.

Hello guys,

I'm surprized to see this topic resurrected again here. I thought nobody is more interested in discussing this stuff.
I have had enough of discouragement from users here - Peopl took it as that two founders could not come to an agreement.
That's not quite the case. I tried to present all the necessary info in here and other forums but almost everywhere (except kvr, maybe because they remember me from SpinAudio times) my posts where removed/banned/blocked. maybe because I'm russian?

And now what?
Mr. Souter boldly promised in march that he would support the products. Where is this support? He even did not dare
to make any clearification post, neither he let users know about the situation.
The web shop now requires some log-in. So effectively he collected as much money as he could and ran away. Very pro behavour indeed. No info from him here and in other forums.

How on earth he could have provide support if I'm the author of more than 90% of all the code and he is not a coder
and could not even compile anything without external help?
The code base is extremely complicated! I've spent 17 years of very hard coding work to develop it and yet it took
Mr. Souter a day to assign it all to him (along with my personal money).

Anyway,

I'm working on Aether 2.0 (preset-compaible with AE 1.6) which would be released under different name and under different brand. All 2CAudio users will get it for free. and yes VST3, CLAP, AUv3, M1 native-vectorized code and all the goodies.
Aether was reseacrhed and developed by me prior to 2CAudio. Other 2CAudio products contain Andrew's IP in various
proportions and thus I cannot release them. Unlike Mr. Souter I respect other people's intellectual property.
Technically I of course can support other products as well but legally I cannot.

I'm also working on open programmable modular synth that runs completely on GPU.

If anyone has suggestions about Aether 2.0 and/or ask for betatest, want to support or blame Denis feel free to email me at mdx1358[at]fastmail.com

Denis, 2CAudio Initiator and Co-Founder

I intentionally made it this way because I already had a situation like this in the past with SpinAudio. SpinAudio users were able to use products after the company demise.
