You are not willing to RTFM which will give you additional knowledge that you probably never will ask for because FL is extraordinarily deep, and their manual does a great job at get you there.

Besides, Image-Line has a pretty extensive channel on YouTube and the amount of tutorial available by Youtubers is quite impressive.

It's worth the time and dedication. Great DAW!

Actually I did try reading the bit in the manual on recording but it didn’t really help.

It shouldn’t be necessary to read a manual though to find out how to insert a plugin and record notes - never had to do that with any other DAW. I have no intention of using FL for complex stuff, I bought it mainly to access and record plugins I already owned but were discontinued on Mac but I will use the audio in something I’m more used to

aMUSEd wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 5:03 pm Thanks but that path or even folder doesn't exist - what I have them in now is '/Users/username/Documents/Image-Line/FL Studio/Presets/Plugin presets' and that is what shows in the main browser but not in the plugins themselves
What does happen when you open Sytrus and you save just the default one as preset (little triangle Menu upper left corner "Save preset as...")
It should open the explorer window with the path to your user library and the corresponding Sytrus folder...
Give it a noticeable name and save it...
Open the preset list... is your saved preset listed??
If yes, put your other presets there!

Crazy - notes was greyed out - why on earth would a DAW have note recording turned off by default?

Thanks

Did you go to the Piano Roll menu and click 'Change Color'? That always works for me.
