No but I will now. At some point I have to start selling software, I have 15-20 go to's and dozens I don't use at all. Atomika and the Microwave are pretty much instantly in first place though, been a good year for synths.BONES wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 9:55 am Have you tried Korg's new ARP 2600 VSTi? They've dropped a SEM filter into it as an extra. With the Drive and Pre-Amp, you can wire in some serious filth. For my money it's the best sounding softsynth money can buy.
Cherry Audio's next synth is (probably) a Polivoks on steroids

Hi, doesn´t matter if sync´ed or not. Options are notes or ms. The delay is nice besides the bug.stoopicus wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 7:28 am I haven’t even looked at the second screen yet but do you have it synced to the host clock?

Hate to do this to you but check out Cherry's PS-20 too - it's more or less giving the Atomika treatment to the MS-20, sounds awesome (better than Korg's), and is also pretty close to the original in side-by-sides. Speaking of a good year for synths, it's also $29machinesworking wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 4:21 pm No but I will now. For $29, I am definitely checking it out. I don't mind their SEM, either. I don't think it sounds quite like any of the other emulations but it's still quite good and much easier on the CPU than bx_oberhausen.
Only dozens? I've got too many to count, but if we've used them in an old song, I sort of need to keep them around.machinesworking wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 4:21 pmNo but I will now. At some point I have to start selling software, I have 15-20 go to's and dozens I don't use at all.

After about five minutes of playing with this synth you'd realize that that patch is really pretty tame and musical compared to the levels of violence this absolute gem can deliver.
Cherry really nailed it with this one.

I like it but I don't love it. Cherry Atomika makes me get gear lust for a Polivoks Pro with the english overlay printout printed on cardboard after hearing the real thing. So much more grit and edge in a real Polivoks. I really bought too much Cherry stuff but gear is cumbersome to me to accumulate like plugins. Plugins are great!

Just checking out the video now maybe my mind tricked me because I played the wrong chords/keys. I think I want it. Out of nowhere Atomika was announced right when I discovered the Polivoks and put it n my must have list.stoopicus wrote: Sun Oct 13, 2024 1:55 am Vulture Culture just did a side by side and it's really pretty close in his comparison. Not exactly the same but close.
Does anyone know if the demo is a 7 or 14 day demo?

Awesome!BONES wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 10:49 am Get an earful of this! It's just a monophonic (unison) patch, no effects or post-processing. It is the raw sound of this beast of a thing. PLAY IT AS LOUD AS YOU CAN!

Yeah I'm really confused by this, Atomika is a near perfect emulation of a Polivoks, but when I A/B'd their Memorymoog emulation against mine it was absolute shit, one of the worst emulations I'd heard. It's hard to imagine these are from the same company? I feel like emailing them and encouraging them to have another go at the Memorymoog. I mean it's obvious they can pull it off.

What kind of stuff is the real Memorymoog good for? I bought all of Cherry's synths + Voltage Modular with the exception of a few new ones here and there and the plugin based Moog stuff is no fun to me that Cherry made. Mini/Memory boring.machinesworking wrote: Sun Oct 13, 2024 3:47 am Yeah I'm really confused by this, Atomika is a near perfect emulation of a Polivoks, but when I A/B'd their Memorymoog emulation against mine it was absolute shit, one of the worst emulations I'd heard. Perphaps their unit of Memorymoog was also absolute shit, so they emulated it successfullymachinesworking wrote: Sun Oct 13, 2024 3:47 am Yeah I'm really confused by this, Atomika is a near perfect emulation of a Polivoks, but when I A/B'd their Memorymoog emulation against mine it was absolute shit, one of the worst emulations I'd heard. 30 days. It does have periodic noise bursts but as someone said earlier, they fit in quite well with the overall sound character of the synth.
