Old debate where conclusion has always been , all DAWs sound the same, it is only a matter of 0 and 1 calculation.
After composing techno music exclusivelly with bitwig for more than one year, I decided to play and see what was new on the Logic 11 side. What a shock the difference was huge in term of audio quality.
Bitwig native plugin instruments and effects are good but after the fisrt minites in Logic, I heard the differences, plugins are more pro : compressor are punchier, instruments sound better, more basic editing options, top notch step sequencer. Bitwig is good but logic is a level above.
A shame, I have to stay with bitwig to play my techno set live with my APC40MKII, which can't be done with Logic.
But sometimes, I bounce item in Logic and load them in Bitwig.
Note : I make music for 35 years and have tried almost every DAWS on the market !

Yeah, but please go back to page 1 & 2.
The OP posted an example, he definitely has a weird issue with Tracktion Waveform on linux sounding very wrong.

I had, but I never knew KVR was that old.
