Does Bitwig seem like a daw that very few people want? Kind of a rant I guess.

... in a topic where we're making fun of DAW names... sure

Don't try to make this into a pissing contest.. you'll lose :hihi:

Orion is ancient. Googling for it is like DAW archeology :D
I reinstalled right after my post...

No no no, this is not your ordinary pill bug, this is a bitwig. He's leaving a poop trail. The bitwig has difficulty moving so he uses his anus like a 7th leg. This enables the bitwig to get around with the unfortunate side effect of leaving a poop trail on your dining table. Should be pretty clear from the image and the previous context.

Ableton is a daft name too but thankfully it’s just the company not the product. Ableton Live is fine as a name, I think.

Is Bitwig also the company name? So it’s Bitwig Bitwig?

Well, yes, but, I'm only going to spend so much time with ChatGPT making bullshit images for a laf on KVR.

Bitwig is my favorite DAW. I've been using it for years and it's just so nice to work inside. It's fast, flexible, things work the way I expect them to. There's room for it to grow sure but it is an amazing product as it stands.

I share this sentiment. I have a hard time imagining what kind of DAW would inspire me to change. It would have to be doing something super unique to get me jumping ship. There are just too many bitwig-specific things that are part of my "sound" now that I don't think I could give up.

There is a constant influx of new users to the DAW. Some end up sticking with it and some go back to ableton or end up somewhere else. Then theres a core set of users that continually renews the product.

I really love Bitwig for everything except working with recording and editing vocal and instrument tracks, where I think Logic and Reaper are still much easier and more full featured.
