Adam, you can really ignore the negative comments, they really have no reason to exist.

Just like with Viper, you did a truly exceptional job, and I sincerely thank you for it.

Thank you so much, and congratulations again on this amazing work and the time you dedicated to giving us a pure marvel, as always.

L'AN 1X, given your immense talent, would have been a truly brilliant idea and an exceptional VST, as always.

Thank you also for your quick response when I emailed you for information.

I wish you all the best for the future and eagerly await more creations from you.

Its like completing a puzzle in complete darkness. You can imagine how difficult that is. Anyway, I was almost done, and the announcement about that free plugin comes out. Well f*ck me. So the only option was to continue, but I had to condense half a years of work into a few months to get it out ASAP, so I hope people can forgive me that the sound comparison at 0 point whatever second its not microscopically accurate down to the last atom :lol
Well I hope that you're rewarded for your efforts. I don't know what voodoo you pulled but it's insanely CPU efficient on my system. The interface is nice and sharp too. And it's only a 22mb download! Arturia take note.

Even though the Virus emulator came out I still prefer Viper as an instrument. I expect it'll be the same for this too.

Same, mostly due to way lower CPU usage and better UI

Diva digital OSC is from the JP8000 / JP8080. The digital ENV is from Jupiter 6.

Is there any reason to get JP6K now?

Dark Fiber wrote: Thu Nov 20, 2025 9:41 pmBut it's a comparison video. You would assume same settings when comparing an emulation to the real device, and as a result the same sound. Both are off; difference in settings, difference in sound.
WHO f**king CARES!?! All that matters is if it sounds good or not. Nobody who listens to anything you make with it will have the first clue what it is or how you made it.

What is meant by this???
I assume he's talking about the open source thing that has been mentioned here previously. The thread for it is near the top of the Instruments forum.
djanthonyw wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 2:02 amJE-8086 will be superior as it's the actual JP8K minus any AD/DA from the hardware.
How do you figure that? Given the additions Adam has made, I'd suggest a slavish copy will be measurably inferior.
Benjamin923 wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 3:59 amOut of curiosity are there no emulations for this previously? Diva or something?
Divas does analogue, the JP8080 was digital.

Anyway, I've bought this without even listening to the video. Don't need to, I know how good Adam is and 69 euros is stupidly cheap for the quality I know he will have given this. I love JP6k, it is my second most used VSTi, so this is a total no-brainer.
Who'd think I am on Bones side once..... But the day has come :)

wagtunes wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 2:01 am Does this come in vst3 format because Cubase 14 does not like vst2 anymore.
You DO know how to enable VST2 in Cubase 14 (and even 15) right?
I tried but all it does is freeze Cubase.
Yep. Exactly the same here. I've gone back to C13.
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Airwave is a synth that's a victim of "fat folder syndrome" here. It sounds great, looks great, and is sold at a fair price but I just have so many other great sounding alternatives for the types of sounds it can make that a purchase is hard to justify.

I have no loyalty to the hardware JP-8080 so I don't care if the plugin sounds like it or not, I only care if Airwave sounds good which it does. Does it sound better than the other alternatives in my collection?

If I'm being honest to myself I'd struggle to say yes so Airwave will remain a synth that I'd like to have but don't need. Perhaps it will be an impulse buy sometime in the future.

But good luck, I hope you sell a million........ :tu:

Once again we see the wannabe edge lords who have never owned, played, or even been in the same room as the hardware coming to examine the plugin with a scanning electron microscope looking for any perceived imperfection in the plugin so they can chant the KVR mantra "It doesn't sound like the hardware".

strange, i have Viper and also Emulator. Emulator runs way more efficient then Viper on Ryzen 9 7950x processor. The Usual Suspects made alot of improvements in the emulation that now has way better performance then at the beginning. From my findings Emulator is CPU heavy but not as even Diva or VPS avenger. I was able to play 4 chords midi with Unison with 64 instances without a sweat.

Did you turn on the emulator to report the actual CPU usage to the host? I know they improved it a lot but last time I checked Viper was definitely lighter on CPU
