I designed a quite Metal snare, relying heavily on the inbuilt effects chain, but after saving and loading that patch to a new instance, all effects parameters are back to default. And now I can't recreate what I did before... :dog:
I have had same kind of issue with the Multistage LFO settings: I had entered points snapped to grid values. After loading the project again the points were off the grid ...

And speaking about opportunities to improve: I in general dislike the envelope editor zoom behavior ... when extending the release for instance, then the whole env view adjusts ... I much more like how vitals env editors work: you can adjust env stages without the view afjusts zoom all time. you do have to adjust zoom manually.

It might have had something to to with overwriting patches after editing them. I'm not certain.
Loading the project in Reaper reproduced the settings correctly sofar *fingerscrossed*

Ps.: I also wanted to say it's not quite reproducible

Snow in the Netherlands for the first time in years.
I took this photo last week during my daily walk in the woods.
That was the inspiration for my track.

Used patches made from init and some modified factory presets

Happy new (ultra-musical) year ! :phones:
How is it started? Hope the best! :tu:
It's a pleasure to start this 2026 with a great OSC round!
Well, i bought SM2 years ago but i almost never used because...i forget it... although with all those presets it's perfect for me.
Song is ready and i'm going in finishing phase. I hope something good comes out
See you sooooooooon!

A while back I crated a song using MuLab or something (called Summit). Had some vocal chops in it since mu lab was able to import vocal wavetables. This time around samples have been made available for use within SM3 so i decided to use those to create a vocal melody. This along with some good drums which I have enhanced to a hard-hitting level using my secret sauce (clipper). This is a spiritual successor to that MuLab version. The old song was great, had some great ideas, but the mix was really bad.

I found SM3 difficult to work with since it's been a while that ive used it. But once I got the workflow down it was good. The variety of presets allowed me to focus on musicmaking, i created only a few presets, like the main growl and the rest i modified to fit the mix for sequencing.

the reason this blew up to 80+ instances is because of all the sounds you don't immediately hear, like the backing noises, the uplifts downlifts, reversed vocal effects, foley fx and whatnots. I had to render some things out because i could not keep scrolling up and down thru my project due to large amount of automation, so i baked that automation down by rendering. Othewise my CPU did well with SM3, which did not require a lot of resources.

Overall i recommend this synth, especially for the price. You really dont need much more than this to cook up some great sounds. But it requires time and patience to learn. The new rework for the 3 version is nice, but the UI could be better and be clearer. Especially the modulation indicators.

this master is about a half a dB from breaking into pieces. Ive pushed this to its absolute limit of -2 LUFS momentary loudness, you will hear temporary distortions where the kick clashes too much with the mix esp in the risers but try not to pay attention to this, i left this in on purpose because i like the sound it makes.

so if I leave my mac OS n go away come back a few hours later it inits a load of presets. very annoying. I have to remember to save and reload each time

Hi everybody!
well... that's the fact: i bought Synthmaster2 some years ago but i often forget it, so when i saw OSC monthly synth was an happy surprise: it's time to learn and use this beast!
I had something clear to do but then things went in different way as soon as i started to choiche sounds.
Sometimes i also use OSC rounds to test new interesting plugins and this was the time to try out....8TT, an eight multiband ott. i put it here and there and...don't know, but it seems to do a good job.

this is the 9th track of my second OSC collection and i wanted simply call it "9th", then i had a surprise when during composition i move from Bmin to Bmaj9(another "9") for the solo background and i said: "wow, this is when the magic happens!". So, the song is called MAGIC 9. Hope you enjoy it!

i could replace the track before the deadline

is it possible to make a snare with Synthmaster One? i listened to all the wavetables but there's no white noise.
is it possible to make a snare without a white noise?

There are noise waveforms available in the Sub oscillators Sub 1 and Sub 2. White noise is there.
