Free vs. bought

Hey, haven't read the enTIRE thread, but just wanted to warm the heart of you who have money woes over this..

I have T1 - glad I paid for it.

If you don't think the reasoning behind a bigger than $80 price break is applicable, look at Sonar -

The price of Sonar 4 Producer is $959.00. REGISTERED Cakewalk owners of ANYTHING get it for $349 (SOnar 3 Procuder u/g for $149). I have Home Studio 2002 which I paid $99 for. That means I could really get Sonar 4 Producer for $449 - saving $500 bucks.

Mackie isn't a fly-by-night company. I think they will honor something like this, maybe not a $500 price break, but if I can save $400 on Sonar by buying $99 Home Studio...well, I don't think that Cakewalk has a patent on good marketing/customer loyalty techniques.

Just my 2 cents - or, wait, now that's only a penny since I happily bought T1...
