Sicklecell666 wrote:Aleksey, I think that breakdown would be good if it were easly accessable on your site somewhere, as I have had the same dilema whyterabbyt has communicated establishing what plug to apply to where..I think it would be beneficial to prospective buyers or you to have like a pop-up chart on your main list page highlighting wha you've indicated here..
I was thinking the same kind of thing - a helpful marketing tool.

Aleksey mentioned Elephant a new EL-3 mode - yummy 8)

bugs, thanks for your feedback.

Sicklecell666, currently there are works being done on the new Voxengo website. I'll consider featuring this breakdown in some form.

is there a reason you would not generally use the curve eq on tracks?

i find it to be one of best single channel tone shaping tools around.
Aleksey Vaneev wrote:whyterabbyt, here is a possible application of the plug-ins:

track eq: GlissEQ, Lampthruster, HarmoniEQ
track comp: Crunchessor, Voxformer
track warmer (if needed): Lampthruster, Warmifier, Analogflux TapeBus, AFInsert
track phase adjust: PHA-979
track transient booster: Transmodder
track FX: AFChorus, AFDelay, AFImpulse

mastering eq: CurveEQ, GlissEQ, HarmoniEQ
mastering warmer: Warmifier
mastering transient booster: Transmodder
mastering compressor: Soniformer (multi-band), Polysquasher (single band)
mastering limiter: Elephant

general reverb: Pristine Space

rSphere, of course, you can use CurveEQ on tracks, but its use in this scenario poses some limitations: first of all, a pretty high latency is introduced on the track, and secondly, it is suggested to increase audiocard latency to at least 2048 samples for comfortable workflow.

These moments do not allow me to generally suggest CurveEQ as a track EQ.

gotcha ...
i use cubase sx3 - so the latency issue did not arise.
and i usually use it on a few tracks that i want to apply the best eq i can... performance wise my machine's hung in there.

Aleksey, version 1.0h has a serious bug...no sound passes through when the Boost is "ON".

Oops - same here using Cakewalk VST Adapter and Sonar4.01...I just put a piece of tape on my screen marked MUTE for now so I don't get mixed up :D

Just downloaded the latest version and have to say that I'm still very impressed by this EQ. However, I now sort of dislike the 'harmonic enhancement' or especially when using the boost when treating whole mixes because of what it does to the bass/low-mids. When I use the EQ on a complete mix the bass easily becomes a bit "whoolly", kind of resonant and loose. I'd love to see the option to apply the boost over a certain user selectable frequency like from 500hz upwards.
I've liked the boost setting on the highs on ALL material that I've tried. It gives it a very pleasant and 'professional' kind of sheen. Unfortunately the bass end keeps me from using it. Anybody else noticed this? (I know Kingston has as he pointed this out in one of our discussions, I could also hear it at the time but not as a real problem.. now I do think it's a problem).

Cheers!
