??? I get 100% cpu after loading it, so I stopped right away... I didn't get to loading a 2nd one and panningAcolmiztli wrote:I'm not really getting any performance issues. This thing sounds great! Loading two of them up, hard panning them both, and having desimilar patches ... sounds PHAT!
Very good work, very good indeed.

Well bear in mind that they were the only two plugs loaded. I was simply jamming with it, I never had it loaded in a full track. I was using XT also.M'Snah........(aka HansM) wrote:??? I"ll have another try, I didn't notice the low PCU bank...
Edit: A few hours later: Yes it works here too, even with two instances. Still the cpu load is scary...

Thanks...Acolmiztli wrote:AMD Athlon 2600+ XP - SP2.
Also tried loading 2 Free Amps + Revitar on my Celeron 2.4GHz. Some presets, of coarse overload the poor Celeron, but surprisingly quite a few presets can be used without crackling, even playing chords...

Ok. A bit of CPU hog at start (45-50% on my old Athlon XP 1600+) but it goes down around 20-25% by itself (strange!!!) after a few second.
Please note that it is only with Ultimate Guitar sf2 loaded and the Amp. I don't know if I'll be able to run it with a lot of tracks.
Anyway, wonderful sound! This is one the best amp sim I tried so far.
Thanks a lot for your work.

>DUDE!! (or Dudette)
Mr. Dude would be fine
Aw hell, you can call me what you like, Just dont call me late for grub
Thanks for the notice of the Wah all, I have worked on that one for years ( I love wah's)
Hello asseca
With your help, I think It is in preEQ 1 and 2, when used with smooth and cracktube.
Pre EQ 3 seems to be OK, If you could please test the presets with spikes, and switch to pre EQ 3,
Let me know if there are spikes?
If none (crosses fingers)it should be quite easy to fix? If it still spikes with pre EQ 3 then I will have to look further?
Also please test preset 27(Loud) as if my theory is right it should cause spikes also.
Let me know, and I will try to correct tonight to send you a test.
Peace all

I still love this amp sim, definitely the best I tried.
- Is there a "version two" of this beauty planned? Maybe even a little less CPU hungry? Would that be great...

As I have noted in my previous post, these are the 7 presets which peak when no sound is present:
Ether, Graffy, Typical, Compical, Loud, Sty, Ploy.
All 3 Pre-EQ: EQ1,EQ2,EQ3 peak exactly the same...all comined with smooth and cracktube AND the Brown, Lt Brown or Black speaker.
I have tested this with some other presets.
Summary: ONLY peaks when using the following 3-fold combination:
Pre-EQ(1/2/3) + Smooth/CrackTube + Brown.Lt Brown/Black
Ether, Graffy, Typical, Compical, Loud, Sty, Ploy.
