WOW!! Love it! I could finally make the sounds I wanted.
This thing *rocks*.
I am now deleting all my amp-sims. This is what I needed.
(The GUI is kinda huge and the plugin is a little CPU hungry it seems - but I don't care!)
Thank you!

I played with this for a few hours and still love it (actually I delete most VST's after testing them - but not this one). The presets are very useable and done with taste. The load on the CPU is not too bad if I only use once instance of Free Amp SE.
And I discovered you can drag around the little microphone that's in front of the speaker
Thanks again, I will use this a lot.

No problems DL'ing (with Firebird, btw).
It's way heavy on the CPU, but it has some really nice tones, especially with the microphone positioning. Also, It seems to play better with Ticky Clav and Mr Ray 73 than most amp sims, which is a big plus. I'll have to experiment to see if I can find the subtler settings I prefer (just a touch of dirt, but very dynamic), but this is a most excellent plug. I especially like the huge variety of choices (even though I usually prefer small, focussed plugs). Well done!
Afternote: I see that like most SE devs, you're using the SoftDist module. It's a good one, certainly, but to my ears, it doesn't go far enough in simulating an overdriven tube; maybe it's just too symmetrical or too static. Finding an even better tube module would totally push this gem over the edge!

Err, I forgot to add a "Thanks!" Sorry about that; I typed my message in the few moments of calm in the middle of getting my kids ready for school.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!
