That is really looking very tasteful, Daniel! If for nothing else, your plugins would be worth it for the GUI alone.

Bahh! I can´t pull this off....
The sourcecode I got (before my HD crash) do not
sound even close to the "official" version so to
just put a new GUI on the existing greasetube is impossible.
I´ve searched all burnt and stored data in my
entire flat and conclude that the Greasetube
is all but an Internet memory these days.....
Ohh well I got a new Plug look out of all this
so it was worth the 4 hours spent at least...

I'm not a coder so please excuse me if this question is more than just a bit naive
is there no way to 'reverse-engineer' the .dll?

Sure you can but that equal too much work at the moment and I just haven´t got the time, tools and effort to put into this.
You can always do a "new" plug out of it but my
arse is in my e-kit module at the moment and
I kind of like it in here....

No worries, Daniel! Just carry on with whatever you're into right now.

You're really quite a smartass, Jens.jens wrote:wronggreendoor wrote:erm ... Greasetube appears to no longer exist.

wrongguitar amp simulator.
me neither - that's my actual point after all!I don't consider this to be remotely like Voxengo Tube Amp.
me neitherI don't think the original poster was requesting a guitar amp simulator
we agree here- I presumed he was wanting a plugin that emulates tube distortion.
that actually depends on the specific application and the flexibility of the pluginBig difference.
at least if they're goodGuitar amps have specific eq's.
agreed once moreSo I agree, if you actually wanted a guitar amp sim, Voxengo Tube Amp isn't (as the name might imply) what you might want ...
yes, try it - as I already wrote: UYEif you want to impart some tubey goodness without affecting EQ or adding cabinet simulation etc, try it.
I like you very much, Jens.
