They say some of prices will stay the same, some will go up, seemingly not all the way to SG level.msorrels wrote:So the latest ad/flyer from AudioDeluxe has a section on Waves with the following:
"Save now before native pricing is retired" And that same image is now showing up on Wave's site.
I assume this has to do with Waves getting rid of their Soundgrid pricing. The announcement for the Soundgrid pricing change talks about how Soundgrid pricing will get cheaper but doesn't say anything about Native pricing getting more expensive, for a feature only some customers can use. It does seem to be the way this is going though. So does anyone know what is going to happen with Wave native pricing on March 1st?
I bought Gold last year and a handful of singles when they had pretty decent deals, but to be honest even with their massive discounts those prices were at the limit of what I felt was reasonable. Them increasing the pricing to include a feature that I can't use seems like a really bad plan. When I first saw the Soundgrid for everyone email I figured they had come to their senses and just dropped their 1.5x premium for Soundgrid versions. Now seems like they are using this as an excuse to raise prices as well. Which they will then turn around and discount the hell out of in never ending sales, but still collect full price on the WUP since it will be based on the retail costs.
So, if you have WUP active, all your current licenses will become SG (good idea to buy it if it has expired and use the voucher to get couple of good plugins before March 1).
I am still not sure if this will be automatic or you hit some button for that, but from what I know since March 1st there will be only SG licenses which allow you to run plugins on a native system and on SG system.
Waves is really doing massive discounts, sometimes down to 75%, so I felt quite comfortable so far to buy all I needed.

Counting yours ? This is the thread for discussions, gossip, etc not "Bargains Only". Whether or not discussions of Gear Credits and their future value is relevant here is open to interpretation. Where else would it go ?Fidelitymusic wrote:How many consecutive non-bargain posts must there be in the Bargain Only thread before posts start getting deleted?

This is the discussion thread and I clearly stated that I was talking about the "Bargain Only" thread. Where in there did you conclude that I was talking about the discussion thread. This is as discussion thread, yes, but about bargains.
As interesting the discussion about IK's new pricing structure may be, especially for IK customers (which I am, too), it really doesn't belong here!
Please make an own thread for it, and let's continue discussing bargains here.
Thank you.

Indeed, let's put an end to discussing non-bargain posts in the bargain thread and non-bargain posts in the non-bargain thread. Also, let's put an end to simpletons calling other people simple.Fidelitymusic wrote: Simple things confuse simple minds.

Kinda funny being that you don't know where that line came from, but Teksonik knows what I'm talking about.Fleer wrote:Also, let's put an end to simpletons calling other people simple.Fidelitymusic wrote: Simple things confuse simple minds.

Do the air instruments ever go on sale? I'm interested in transfusor, but I'd rather wait for a sale than pay full price.

Yes they do, I bought Loom for $49.99 I think. The best deal though, if you're interested in others of their instruments, is to buy any one of them, then upgrade to the whole AIR Instrument Expansion Pack, which I think costs $129. If that works for you, it doesn't matter which instrument in the pack goes on sale, the upgrade gets you all of them.

Or even better if the Facebook code is still valid, I just found this, you can use both of these deals:dwozzle wrote:Yes they do, I bought Loom for $49.99 I think.
