It's quite humorous

It's taken 41 pages, but we have finally arrived at the inevitable.

Of course you can: go to that user profile --> click "Add foe" --> profit
What's also a laugh is when people go to great lengths to say "Oh I am ignoring this member" when in fact they are reading every post (there are ways for a 'foe' to check this !). In the case of my dear know-it-all 8-Mile Road chum(p), he's reading ALL of my post but cannot possibly respond, because he's already stated that he's ignoring me. Advantage therefore is all mine.

And I'll get in before Mister Clever decides to find a work around. One might come back and say "I un-foed the member to see what all the activity was on the thread, that's how I am responding to one of your posts now". Hahaha, what a cop out. I'm just covering that base beforehand, so I can remain in this advantageous state to say whatever I please about him and his beloved Propellerhead, and he cannot possibly respond without looking like the manipulative fraud that he is.

Well, anyway, it would be fantastic if the mods actually took a stance and banned these trolls. KVR's reputation would improve, and people who have something of value to add to the community might actually stick around. But, I digress...

@ KarmaShaman:

"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

Does that sound familiar to you? Seriously, what's your point here anymore? To convince even the last one left that you're a total idiot?

No doubt you have been furiously hitting that report button, hey sweetheart?

Anyway, everyone's veering WAY OFF TOPIC. This is a Reason thread, and my initial entries were related to Propellerhead - you know, the guys who built Reason. It's not my problem if people take personal offence to y opinion on the company.

Please stay on topic, all of you

And anyway, my desires have been met now that Enogg has validated that he is in fact reading my posts.

Back to it: Why do people think that Propellerhead have opened up Essentials for VST ? It means a $70 buy-in (or whatever it costs) to have a lot of the fun stuff associated with Reason, with the power of VST - one of the primary things that has stopped people from using Reason instead of other DAWs?

I find it unlikely that people are going to spend the extra $300 for a full Reason licence once they get to know Reason - surely the ageing synths of Thor and Subtractor are not justification enough to upgrade. Who knows - maybe there WILL be a THOR Mk2. There has been a precedent for Propellerhead updating their devices (Rex to OctoRex, The Reverb Mk2, Parsec Mk2)

For the first time in many years, I feel that Reason is going to get a whole lot better for existing users, as a side effect of Propellerhead enticing new users to the platform.

not quite but getting there :?
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Please, let's stay on topic, boys.

The topic is Propellerhead, Reason and Reason's VST update. Anything outside of those topics is an unwelcome diversion. I'm willing to forgive all of you up to this moment, for the bullying and harrasment. Even the adorable 8-mile kid.

So.. back to Reason.......
