But there’s no demo mode in the rack plugin.

Make sure your DAW is scanning these folders:

Mac OS vst3 location
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
Windows vst3 location
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

The answer is no, because Intro (neither DAW nor Plugin) do not have those synths. Grain and Malström only come in the full "standard" version of Reason:

So reason is only able to load the instruments included in the same version not from an older one ? So if you want to use this you have to load the other version, no exchange from instruments inbetween different versions possible ?

Seriously surprised by how versatile and natural the room and hall algos are despite their age...

Ah yeah, it's the 25th and nooow i'm allowed to trial.. *downloading* looks capped/or preasured, will take a while..

And it is the Rack I wanna have a go at ofc, hope that works in trial-mode and someone have overlooked something?

If I am understanding you correctly, you desire this:

You currently own the full version of Reason 10 (or another previous version)
You want to upgrade to Reason 11 INTRO
You want access to instruments and devices offered in full Reason 10 (or prior), inside of Reason 11 INTRO Plugin?

Or do you want access to instruments and devices offered in full Reason 10 (or prior), inside of Reason 11 INTRO standalone DAW?

Either scenario doesn't make sense, because in the example above, you are technically downgrading from the full version of Reason, albeit to the latest version of 11. INTRO is still a downgrade, both in included instruments/devices and standalone features.

That said, if you do buy 11 INTRO, you will still own your previous versions of Reason and can continue to use them - along with all of your current devices, etc. You just can't open song files in 11 INTRO made with the full version of any version of Reason.

Let us know if you get the plugin to work in trial mode. I have not found out how yet. Although it says:
«The trial comes with both the Reason Rack Plugin and Reason standalone.»

It's probably the best effect in Reason (even though i didn't check everything).

. So: is this possible ?

What I might have to add: I do not really use Reason as main daw, I got a cheap upgrade from an older version to 10 and mainly bought cause of the included instruments/content. So my main interest is still to use this in another daw which is now perfectly possible with reason 11 and the vst rack.

no.

if you have Reason 10, then what you want is to upgrade to Reason 11.

(the instruments in Reason are not separate plugins. They are integrated into the version you are using.)

If you want access to all of your Reason 10 (full version) stuff in Reason 11 Plugin or standalone, then do NOT buy INTRO. Buy the regular full upgrade.

If you buy INTRO, then:

you are technically downgrading from the full version of Reason, albeit to the latest version of 11. INTRO is still a downgrade, both in included instruments/devices and standalone features.
