I have my main dedicated DAW with enough TB's for lots of plugins, instruments, samples and programs that I use to record. My laptop has a 256GB M.2 in it and obviously won't hold full versions of S2 or ST4. I have CS versions installed on the laptop. My digital piano is in another room for the time being and that won't change in the near future. Is there a way I can take some of my ST4 and Syntronik 2 (presets, instruments, samples) to my laptop for performing or recording parts that I will later take back to the DAW?
DAW: I7-3770k, 32GB/256GB, (2)WD 2TB, W10P, (2)Delta 1010LT, (2)US-1800, Fastrack Pro, GR-55, (2)RP-1000, Oxygen 8, K-1000, YDP-142, PSR-85, DR-880, (4) Peavey/Cakewalk StudioMix, (2)BCF-2000, 40u Rack filled, Cakewalk+Sonar X-1P;

If only IK was as good at quality control and support as they are at promotions....

Or, the end date was extended beyond 31 May only because the 3,000 had already been reached?Teksonik wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 3:10 pmSo they extended the group buy after all ? Was supposed to end midnight last night. Looks like it's still possible to join.
So all that "we need to get to 3000 or it won't be extended" was just BS?![]()

Yes, with a bit of juggling.tydygy wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 3:15 pm I have my main dedicated DAW with enough TB's for lots of plugins, instruments, samples and programs that I use to record. I have two sets of Syntronik libraries
(a) Syntronik 1, within my ST3 library and, for Syn2, a library containing a selection of synths and presets
(b) Syntronik 1 Deluxe library and the full Syntronik 2 library (which includes the new (EDITable) presets for the Syn1 instruments)
Then all I need to do is set the paths in Syn2 to either the 2 libraries in (a) or the 2 in (b) and let it "Build the database" . THe only downside here is that Syyn2 scans all the non-Syntronik instruments (SampleTank, Miroslav etc) when building the database so it takes several minutes.

Right, you got to 3,000 before it ended. And no it wasn't extended again. It doesn't automatically shut off (on purpose), we thought some people might have received or opened emails late etc. The group buy has been shut off by now though.
Next time I'll have the IT team shut it off precisely at midnight Italian time so Teksonik will be happy, though.

Thanks DarkStar. I also read your post "TIP: Importing legacy instruments into ST4 (needs ST3)" on cgi.ikmultimedia.com from a month ago and raised a request to get ST3 to download. If you're saying I can now edit in ST4, I might not need it now.
What I'm wanting to do is grab a handful of settings, instruments, samples from my DAW tower to my personal laptop. I don't have the space on the laptop to install everything as I do on my DAW. I was hoping I could possibly put a USB stick (or something) with the things I want that aren't in the CS versions to have them available on my laptop (but do on my DAW). Maybe it's as easy as copying the presets? You may have told me and I don't know it on the reply above, but I understand your reply as importing on the same device. I want to use the laptop to track or perform with some of my new ST4 SE and Syn2 synth instruments and mostly piano (C7) but not all of them due to space constraint on the laptop.

I was talking above about Syntronik only. Can you re-post on the IKM forum, so we do not derail this thread too much?

It didn't automatically shut off on purpose (so you could get those last few sales) therefore it was extended. Doesn't matter if it was only a few hours or what excuse you want to make.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 4:22 pm Right, you got to 3,000 before it ended. I won't be happy until IK can do a group buy without bumbling through it....

As noted by IK their forums are not "official forums" where one can find support from the company.DarkStar wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 5:10 pm ^^^^

The sale is over so this thread can be for Syntronik 2 discussions as the thread title indicates.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Sun Apr 24, 2022 1:57 am Support doesn't respond to forum posts (including our forum which is not a support forum)
That way we don't have to worry about IK censorship on their forums or someone coming along every few minutes and saying "open a ticket".
Since the sale is over there is no reason for the IK's sales department to post in this thread any longer but if IK ever sees fit to populate the forums with someone from the support department they would be welcomed with open arms in this thread.

I’ve not read the whole thread so this may have been raised before but after installing a few of the synth sounds in the IKPM all of the others are showing as installed when they are not! None of them will install and re-install does nothing. Any suggestion gratefully received.
I couldn’t resist the offer (FOMO!) ……but remembering why I have avoided IK previously now.

Thanks, Peter, to you and IK for the Group Sale. Sure, the installation could've been a bit easier for the Syner V, but it really wasn't too difficult to figure out. Nice job.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 4:22 pm Right, you got to 3,000 before it ended. And no it wasn't extended again. I encountered this with the new v2 instruments. Syntronik 2 CS installs a handful of presets for each instrument and they were showing up as already installed in the IKPM. In the IKPM go the sounds tab and select ...More Options > Reinstall Library for the "incomplete" instruments.SHall1000 wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 6:46 pm I’ve not read the whole thread so this may have been raised before but after installing a few of the synth sounds in the IKPM all of the others are showing as installed when they are not! If you're installing to a custom location, choose Install To.. Also check your library settings in Syntronik 2 (gear icon) to make sure the library locations are correct. Re-scan if you make any changes.
If you're on Windows, you might need to install Syner-V manually. There was a problem with a couple of the Syner-V zip files. Not sure if this was ever fixed or not. More details here:

Except for Syner-V, the installs/re-installs went fine. Bit of a pain to have to authorize, download, and install 33 instruments but worth it in the end.

+1. Thanks Peter and the IK team for another great group buy. Some of us really appreciate your dedication and hard work. I'll be busy for months with all these new sounds.dlandis wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 8:31 pm Thanks, Peter, to you and IK for the Group Sale. Now if only the Sampletank drum libraries would go on sale.

I haven’t installed the CS version only the full version 2. Reinstall library does do anything on any of the uninstalled synths. I am on Windows and It may have happened after I installed Syner-V, not sure. If I manually install Syner V do you know if the other synths will stop showing as installed in the IKPM? Still have~20 to go and don’t want to manually install them as well if I can help it!
So frustrating! Arturia’s install manager seems slick now in comparison.
