I made some more noises and put it into a mess.. errr... demo track... song... repetitive noise thing:

PS: Only drums aren't Hive, everything else is (used EQ to clean up low end a bit on some tracks).
PPS: BTW, someone asked about sharing patches earlier in the thread, not sure what the deal is as these are factory lib patches, so waiting on word from Urs.

the sequencer should be able to trigger polyphonic in play mode and in modulator mode the pitch parameter should still modulate the pitches.
And in ideal one could choose which oscilator gets the pitch sequence

That is why I suggest a simpler solution: just to adjust Dirty mode a little to decrease a level of beating: may be just a little random (possibly new random for new note) detuning relative to even grid-like pitches placing would be enough to destroy this short-looped static beating.Urs wrote:I'm not against that. We can do this while preserving backward compatibility.Best of both worlds: Easy mode if you keep the default and more control if you want to have it.
However, I wouldn't like it to become a prominently placed parameter. It would have to be somewhat tucked away, and it must not get in anyone's way.

Last night I thought about adding a BYO engine. That's for Build Your Own. I'll keep it in the back of my mind and see what others think.

Hi, I've just tried this vst and I think it's nice but what is really missing is the hard sync option for osc 2. That's also the problem with sylenth. So you should take this opportunity to make your synth better than sylenth by adding the hard sync option to oscillators. Thanks

+1000000 for this!! Hard Sync
The notes you don't play creates the silent gaps for you to hear the notes you do play

How to save the MOD-Wheel position to the patch? (Some patches seem to do this).
EDIT: solved, it seems the position is saved when the GUI modwheel is used, not when the controller wheel is used.

I find the possibility to record its sequences in HIVE; it's just amazing .
I have not found how to insert manually a silence ?
Good job !

fwiw, I've had a couple of major crashes resulting in CPU readings of 800% and an unresponsive soundcard, which then requires a reboot to fix.
Both times I was tweaking the second sub oscillator's pitch, with a couple of modulators targeted at pitch, too.

Merry Christmas everyone, wish you nice & happy holidays & happy new year
Nice release, just ordered it..
Well, as a first impression:
1. GUI is too big and there are many unused spaces.
2. GUI slow refreshing which effects on display and while dragging this plugin away it is slow
3. Why there's no dedicated Phase level (I know about linking Retrig value to a matrix) But would be much, much better to have a dedicated phase level under each Osc. & Sub Osc.
4. As in point#3, I see it would be necessary to have phase level for sub oscillators.
5. Make Hive really amazing & ultimate VST by considering to add sf2/sfz import ability also why not a simple FM routing to be implemented as well? That will fill a huge gap in major plugins like Sylenth1, FM8, Sytrus, Harmor & Zebra2
