Hey no problem at all, and thanks for the comments! I recommend downloading the song again tough, i re-uploaded a better mix a couple days a go. Less loud and less tiring on the ears, a bit mellow/warmer sounding and not so aggresive anymore.

Just one question: is it possible that it is slightly overdriven? On my computer it sounds a bit distorted. Maybe you could try to lower the overall volume a bit before mixing everything together. It would be fantastic to have these pieces with a clean sound.

Uhmmm... funny, the sound is perfect on my system. I mean, there's some overdrive and distortion, but it's on single instruments (and therefore by choice, I guess) and not on the whole mix. You sure it's not a problem with your system?
Anyway, I agree with you , it's a great album - at least the parts I've listened to so far (1 thru 3).

Listen to the part with dums and vocoder towards the end of part one (which is also the "single" he used for the video on youtube), that is an awesome songs!

Very nice album. How much did you pay Mike Oldfield for playing the guitars? Seriously, it really sounds like Genesis invited Oldfield to a recording session. Thanks for sharing!!

Overdriven... I don't think I had this problem when I did the album... I don't work very hard on the sound (you would laugh if you knew how I mix my music...) but I think there's also a probleme with the mp3s on that website Jamendo, it seems to me that the final level is higher than on my original wavs...

Thank you very much for listening! I'm glad you liked the vocoder part, I hate singing (that's why there's a vocoder... another freebie by the way http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/vocov.html ) and the lyrics are quite bad...

Anyway... here I just wanted to say that when I downloaded this Elektrostudio pack, I was amazed... I think these are really inspiring synths for people who love those 70s/80s sounds... with great presets. The last time I had that fun was when I discovered Krakli's S3 series... But as I said, I didn't play only on Elektrostudio VSTis, there's plenty of other great free VSTis on this album.

Just listening to the tracks on my mp3 player now, rather than my work PC. No problems here. There must have been a problem with the setup of the work PC. Sorry about that.

With the clear sound it is even more awesome. I wish I had more time to try something myself with these nice instruments. Anyway, keep up the good work. I am looking forward to the next album!

So how do you feel about these? I can imagine you've had some hands-on experience with the real hardware, how do these plugins compare to the real thing? Not that it matters tough, authentic or not, they sound great...just curious.

well, i wouldn't go so far and say they're really close to the hardware (i did not own all of those originals anyway), but some have the feel of their orginal counterparts to a certain degree, especially the solina and the juno6 emu ...
there are however some flaws, i.e. the linear env's and some other things ...
but they somehow sound interresting and inspiring (the most important thing to me), and i can't say that of many se-creations ...

I played with Elektrostudio synths a lot on an album you can download here for free... (licence CC by-nc-sa 3.0). Actually there's also a lot of other free synths too, Synth1, Organized trio, tapeworm, Dream Sequencer, the sound in the beginning is Triple Cheese...
To give you an idea, t's a kind of mix of Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Genesis, Kraftwerk, and a lot of other stuff
