But if Reoro-5 has 8 voices then it will freak people out if Reoro-10 has 12 voices rather than 16 and I think Urs is already freaked out enough for this week.
Needs a beer.

Can you show me pads that are using 12 single keys (aka voices)?ghettosynth wrote:Yep! But, it does need 12 voices! It's rather a unique poly, so 12 voices just makes it that much better of a pad machine. I'm not asking for 16 or 32, just 12, that industry standard set by killer analogue pad machines like the JX10 and the Matrix12.Garrincha wrote:In Cubase try the Step-Designer MIDI-Plugin. Sonar used to have a similar thing and I remeber vaguely from my time with Logic 20 years ago that it has such a possibility as well.Ingonator wrote: With a step sequencer you could transpose the pitch in realtime by playing keys (like in the video) so using your host is no replacement...
I really don't think Repro-5 needs another step-sequencer at this point.

With pads that have long release times you could actually have 10 voices playing while currently just 3 notes are played. With a more limited amount of voices you get voice stealing.Elektronisch wrote: Can you show me pads that are using 12 single keys (aka voices)?

This synth is stunning... that's all I have to say.
No requests, no bug reports. I don't care if it makes my CPU ignite and start a house fire. It is the best synth plugin I have encountered.
Thanks!

When a man comes to a gallery and stands before a painting; it may not be amazing, but it's not horrible either, yet he dismisses it and ridicules it. Of course he can do it, but he shall not be surprised when the other person comes up to him and asks: "Mate, you are quick to judge to dismiss the work and laugh at it, but can you actually do better?". It's a legit question. His post was shit, but so is yours. Can we please move on now? I feel intrigued to delete any further of this shit. I usually don't delete posts when people make a dick out of themselves, but I will if this continues.
You lost your nerve, Urs. And I don't see how you having an attitude with me now is any different of what you're saying. The man came up to me and called the work horrible and put a tongue face after it. He didn't care to explain anything or suggest any improvement over it to be any bit constructive. He did what he did and he knows it. I have all the rights in the world to call him out on his words. It may not be important to you, but it is to me.

So its not possible for a person to prefer one synth over another because you think the other is better?Greggers wrote: If you really prefer Spire to Prophet-5 you cannot be helped anyway, not on KVR at least. Maybe you should take your chance at psychiatric hospital.

It's not possible to compare Absynth and Spire to Prophet-5, to begin with. And to dismiss Prophet-5 as lame synth in comparison, or to dismiss Prophet-5 as lame synth anyway, as a sort of legit conclusion. I'm not even gonna bother telling it's unfair, it's totally bollocks, in fact, hence why I suggested a check at mental asylum. So its not possible for a person to prefer one synth over another because you think the other is better?

Come on guys, please stop this, it's really getting out of hand.
To make you all laugh a bit about lame sounds of the 80s and how they are created, here is my very own fail over the last couple of days:
I was busy trying to painstakingly recreate the patches Larry Fast used on "Peter Gabriel plays live".
...only to find he was actually playing a Memorymoog - of all synths - on that record (and only on this record)
But since I have the tape transfers of "shock the monkey" lying around somewhere on my HD (at least I think they are still there somewhere) I will have a go at these "lame sounds" over the Weekend
And These ARE Prophet tracks - at least that is what the track Labels say...

Speaking of Memorymoog, anyone so far has found Gunnare's attempt at it to be a fair representation of the hardware?I was busy trying to painstakingly recreate the patches Larry Fast used on "Peter Gabriel plays live".

I'm cool with that. Why try to shove it down our throats, though?Perhaps he just has a different taste

I have his ME80 and love it, but I never bothered with the Memorymoon. But I never had the original synth so I couldn't compare anywayGreggers wrote: Speaking of Memorymoog, anyone so far has found Gunnare's attempt at it to be a fair representation of the hardware?
Maybe Urs can chime in as he has a Memorymoog I think.

I have a Memorymoog, but never tried any emulation of it...Garrincha wrote:Maybe Urs can chime in as he has a Memorymoog I think.
