1.07 looks really good so far. Able to change Midi interfaces on the stand alone plugin without it crashing into the sea. I'm using Auto-Tune 5 (albeit on a mac) and I"m not having any issues.Dudulle wrote:Hi Oliver,
Is the Pace bug (in my case, with autotune 5) resolved ?
Or, as I've read above, do we have to install UVI Workstation with a disconnected internet to make it work ?
Thanks.
Really looking forward to more libraries. I'm hoping you guys will release a new updated "fretted instruments" volume. Also wanting more Trance like synth library to compliment Synth Anthology (which is more old school sounding).
The orchestral sounds in Plugsound Pro are a little sparse, so that would also be an area I would like to see (and the solo instruments library I've seen you guys advertise goes part of the way here).
I would KILL for you guys to put an ARP or a gate in this thing to make it a one stop shop of sorts.

that's a two layer patch, with a good polyphony and long release, but still
a P4 hould handle this easily.
Are you using a convolution reverb or simple reverb ?
What happens if you bypass FX ?
Regarding volumes spikes, it depends on the number of key you play.. I think those patch are meant to play loud with only one key press.
I think it's not a bug but more a feature

Since I had this problem with Sonnox too, I guess you have to blame PACE and not the UVI guys. However, I have already suggested that during the UVIWS install you should have the option of unchecking "Install PACE support?". So the UVI guys can do something about this so that we don't have to mess with this problem if PACE support is already installed.Dudulle wrote:Hi Oliver,

I don't get any prompt for pace with my install? I already have it on my machine, but that hasn't happened since versions way back... 1.0.3 or so?

i have a new issue with 1.0.8. i am only using the two soundbanks for free online at the moment for testing, and since updating they won't read. i can see them in the soundbank menu, but when i try to advance to selecting a preset the only options i am given are sample, preset, and description.xls. none of these options advance anywhere but the same. upon switching back to 1.0.7 everything returns to normal. i can send a screenset if needed. this is happening in logic 8 and in standalone using a g4 ibook in 10.4.11.
thanks

Just downloaded and installed this for the first time. Seems pretty stable running both in standalone mode and as a vsti in Podium. Hassle free installation.
Mainly just want to offer thanks for this most excellent tool.

Salut Olivier,
Midi mute is really nice and works well, thanks.
To add to the FX save preset feature request, it will be really cool to know also the preset name of the FX in the header of the FX box. By example, right now you only know that IR Reverb is load up, but after the fact you have no way to know which IR impulse is used which can become confusing.
On the feature request side, I was thinking that it could be really cool to be able to create some kind of container on track that could contain multiple patch inside them. So these could be saved as instrument preset. The reason I'm puting that up is because I realize that even if preset saving is a cool addition, I can't use it much since most of the instrument I'm puting together contain more than one patch. However, for those multi are overkill since I don't want to save and recall the whole thing, but just what is contain under the same midi channel. On the plus side as well, these track container could also simplify midi routing, create an overall volume and pan control, FX control, ...
Merci.

Hi UVI Workstation team!
I've been using uvi workstation with Macintosh OSX10.4.11.
Once,I upgraded from 1.07 into 1.08,File browser works strange.
When I clicked Soundpack DEMO,It shows Presets,Samples,description.xmp.
And clicked Presets,It shows same 3files again!
It shows same files over and over like eternal loop!!
I've already tried to delete preference file, but same thing happened.
Anyhelp?

Exactly the same problem here since updating to 1.0.8.
I'm unable to load any patches due to the exact same symptoms listed below.
I'm on a G5 10.4.11.
Applies to both stand-alone and plug-in usage.
Cheers!
Dave.

Cool workstation but could have some enhancements still...Needs to recognize soundbanks even if we change the harddrives. Also, need to be look and loops when we play from our DAW...I mean it seems that it plays by itself and stop only if there is some ghost notes before...really wierd situation...
Some nice sounds...but as I have read in this post...need to do some upgrading on some banks such as the orchestral sounds...
The thing that seems cool so far is the very fast loading of sounds and easy to manage multi midi banks.
my best to UVI team...continue this upgrading of the beta until we have a great workstation!

We found an issue with 1.08 and some PPC computers. We will have 1.09 posted by August 18 (even programmers need some holidays !Bass108 wrote:i have a new issue with 1.0.8. i am only using the two soundbanks for free online at the moment for testing, and since updating they won't read. i can see them in the soundbank menu, but when i try to advance to selecting a preset the only options i am given are sample, preset, and description.xls. none of these options advance anywhere but the same. upon switching back to 1.0.7 everything returns to normal. i can send a screenset if needed. this is happening in logic 8 and in standalone using a g4 ibook in 10.4.11.

It was holidays as well here in Canada...Thanks for the updates...It could be nice that the banks from Plugsound or other UVI banks are recognize even if we decided to change drives(which happens when managing space etc)...if you can find a way that UVI recognize any change of directory or, adapt to a new manual request made from the directory menu in UVI...AlainJ UVI wrote:We found an issue with 1.08 and some PPC computers.
