The party was expensive.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Indeed....that's included in Omnisphere.Echoes in the Attic wrote:One problem I see with this compared to other piano/keyboard focused plugins is that there doesn't seem to be alternate tunings or detuning of individual keys like addictive keys or pianoteq. That would be nice.
You know they want people to buy booth
But maybe a midi fx plug-in could do it too?

How would you do that in Omnisphere?Cinebient wrote:Indeed....that's included in Omnisphere.Echoes in the Attic wrote:One problem I see with this compared to other piano/keyboard focused plugins is that there doesn't seem to be alternate tunings or detuning of individual keys like addictive keys or pianoteq. There are a lot of predefined tuning options included in Omnisphere like some african, arabic, gamelan, historical, kalimba, microtonal etc.Echoes in the Attic wrote:How would you do that in Omnisphere?Cinebient wrote:Indeed....that's included in Omnisphere.Echoes in the Attic wrote:One problem I see with this compared to other piano/keyboard focused plugins is that there doesn't seem to be alternate tunings or detuning of individual keys like addictive keys or pianoteq. I think 65 are included...not sure if you can import your own. Have to figure it out (never tryed that).
Detuning single keys is the harder part. There is a harmonia option for chords and stuff which might be usable combined with clever modulation but yes not really what you searching for then.
Edit: Indeed you could import any .TUN scale file to your needs!

Sure it would be better to record a real detuned instrument....but it would take a billion years to catch all possible scalesmhog wrote:Detuning and alternate tunings in samples based instruments? Nah...
Of course it makes more sense for synths or recording instruments in tunings where they were made for.
But it can sound indeed interesting/haunting/exotic...whatever, to use different tunings in Omnisphere.
I mean the burned piano sounds detuned too

I bet that the burning piano and altered Rhodes soundsources from Omni were just castoffs from them making purchases for Keyscape -- most likely they were just bought on Craigslist for parts and they decided to abuse and sample them too. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's like telling someone to take those droids to be scrapped while the droid is right there listening.

Seriously, I kind of wish they'd come out with this about 4-5 years ago. Granted, I don't have all the "botique" instruments in my collection, but I'm not sure how much I'd use them. I may spring for it anyways. I don't need another Yamaha piano, however, but some of the others might be cool. I already own Omnisphere 2, so....

Here are a few examples of Keyscape taken from my recent work for television:
1. Tears Of A Mother : Grand C7 Dark Score patch
https://soundcloud.com/ned-bouhalassa/t ... f-a-mother
2. Falling Out of Love: Grand C7 Cinematic patch
https://soundcloud.com/ned-bouhalassa/f ... -work-2016
3. A Final Plea: Hohner Planet T Echo Shift patch
https://soundcloud.com/ned-bouhalassa/a ... -work-2016
The synths are mostly The Unfinished's superb work for Omni 2, strings are mostly Adagio and Adagietto.
