If you like the Rack concept, and don't mind the midi editor and sequencer, why not?
Use can the synths you enjoy working with and are familiar with, grab a bunch of freeware FX that sound better than the long in the tooth fx that have been in Reason forever, get a better freeware spectrum analyzer and EQ for the channel strip, and you are good to go for 69.(and whatever discount you can find along the way)

I would. Totally not into that, at all. Every time I pay my Roland Cloud subscription each month, it brings tears to my eyes.
