Then it should be reported as a documentation bug, because its obviously plain wrong…

It's labeled "PD" in the actual plugin's GUI, so that's not a documentation bug. You'd have to argue that they're using the wrong naming for it in general in the plugin.

It’s been on sale for at least a few weeks, and nobody’s posting about it, and their Discord server and feedback section is rather quiet. Doesn’t have to mean anything, of course, but I’d love to see a bit more activity.

In other words: buy now :-?
Just bought the Fuse Compressor, thanks for mentioning the sale.

Can someone recommend good Current preset packs - any style? Thank you!

Minimal Audio has been releasing some really good patches in various styles, and they're definitely worth checking out. Their packs are a little smaller and more focused on a specific vibe. Spektralisk released Ultronium: Audio Annihilation for Current with 160 highly-compressed sequences, heavy bass presets, and devastating impacts. The attention to detail in his programming is impressive, and if you're looking for aggressive patches, this would be a good place to start: https://spektralisk.com/products/ultronium/

If you want more pads and special effects with a cinematic feel, Anton Anru has Dystopian Soundscapes available at https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/current-dystopian/

Touch The Universe has three sound sets for Current that include plenty of lush pads, plucks, sequences, synth bass, and atmospheric effects. At the moment, it looks like you can buy all three packs in a bundle for $45. That's a bargain for all of the content that you get, and Timothy specializes in patches that are great for ambient, progressive and psychedelic trance. But they can be used in any kind of music given the right context. https://touch-the-universe.com/current- ... -main.html

Wow, thanks you guys for all the recommendations!

Thanks morphox for that recommendation. I remember you were the one who inspired me to look into current.
If anyone wants to grab those 3 banks I'll sweeten the deal by doubling it. You'll still have to pay $45 for all 3, but I'll throw in 3 other banks, though from different synths. Just shoot me a pm or email after purchase. Offer applies to anyone reading this. Cheers
100 High Quality Soundsets: Omnisphere 2, Dune 3, Tone 2 Synths, Pigments, Uhe Synths, Halion, Spire, and others.

Recently sold a whole bunch of synths- Falcon, Pigments, Hive, Bazille, Ace, V Collection, and Current. Honestly really regret selling Current. I've got Serum 1/2, Phase Plant, Massive X, and the entirety of Bitiwg but something about Current really scratched an itch that I didn't known had.

I think it's the workflow- it can be super powerful and deep but never felt complicated. So easy to navigate, looked so good, sounded amazing. Why oh why did I do this??!?

I think Current and Serum 2 share a lot in common and there are things in Serum 2 that Current isn't capable of but one thing I like about Current is it feels less cramped when dealing with oscillators.

Current has better use of the screen space and nicer to deal with. Things like the granular synth are much more pleasant to use in Current.

Something really unappreciated in Current compared to other similar synths is that it really feels like an instrument rather than a big set of tools. By that I mean that all of the options feel like they're in service of each other- everything ends up feeling like a big sweet spot, and experimentation quite often leads to something pleasant-sounding. It all just feels very deliberate, right down to how the effects are implemented and feel more like part of the synth rather than bolted on as additional effects.

I'd even go as far as to say that certain effects are more at home in Current vs standalone.

The Morph EQ in particular really shines in Current.

Another thing I like is that they are very economical with functionality. Like if you want a per note random modulator just use one of the LFOs set the rate to zero, turn the shape to square. turn the randomisation up and leave key retrigger on.

If you want classic S&H use the same settings but turn the trigger to free and turn up the speed.

So the LFO is three modulators in one. Very nice design.

The newly added external sidechain is fantastic. You can use it as a sort of an auxiliary FM/PD source. You might need to adjust the control and engine rates but it's cool to have.
