Sleepgolfer is certainly speaking for himself, Rene, so don't get stressed out. MANY of us would like to keep hearing more and more demoes, in different styles. What he fails to acknowledge is that you HAVE requested people to submit whatever they want, to be turned into demos, and that there already HAS been some cleaner jazz and blues... the reason so much metal over the past couple days is because THEN people started complaining, "I want to hear the chugga chugga! A good amp needs chugga chugga!" All you were doing is giving them what they wanted. :D

I'm glad you and Dimitar had some fun, and I'm ALWAYS up for more of Dimitar's playing, whether it's metal or otherwise.

Some Eric Johnson stuff WOULD be cool mind you. <laff>

Just don't forget to let the battery in your simulated pedal have a simulated decay time first. Oh, and don't use any cable longer than 10'. Er... and make sure you're using Dunlop picks, 'cause no-name picks just won't cut it.

<for those not in the know, Eric Johnson is notoriously voodoo-like and picky about his tone>

Can't afford that either... Like theirs, your amp is waaaaaaay too expensive.

All this talk is useless.
I am glad for the new demos.
Up until yesterday I was not really impressed with any of the previous demos.
So you won me over yesterday.
Of course all this talk and speculation will be over once we all have a demo to play with.
I hope it will be a killer and I hope it will come soon.

My biggest dilema will be if Amplitube2 comes out first.
I am a big fan of Amlitube as well.
I heard as an Amplitube1 owner I will get a nice upgrade price but only for a perioud of 30 days.
I probably can not afford to miss this unless I have an alternative demo in hand from Midiworks.

Hey Heeb,

Dimitar just send me this:
http://dimitar.audioshot.net/cleanandnotcleanstuff.mp3

But please, dont rob a bank !

heeb wrote:I... actually... *read*... all... 49... pages...
Then you know, that all you had to do,
was to send an mp3 when I requested them,
to get a free copy of the amp, when its ready... :( :?

Thanks again Andrew for your nice words ! :)

How about that:
As an Amplitube1/GuitarRig/Trash owner you will get a nice discount price.
(after prove of ownership)

Just an idea !?

The cross grade offer is a great idea (I have guitar rig)- it works to, I bought Tassman on a crossgrade offer from Reactor- would never have bought it otherwise (and now prefer it to reactor!)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

That won't help him as he'd still have to get AT2 in case he'd not be as satisfied...
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Well what guitar amp did Altec Lansing produce for a start?

I'm kinda wondering what is motivating you to try so hard to slag off this amp sim and Midiworks? If you don't like the amp sim, don't buy it. Simple. Maybe spare us all the pointless fanatical trash talk, please?

Well, I thought about that, but my situation is like this: I *do* have (from my richer days) a quality A/D converter (MindPrint DI-Port); an awesome device; however, its input impedance is 47K, which is way too low for passive e-guitars (should be more like 500K - 1M). So, in order to provide you with a quality mp3-track (which I very much would like to do!), I would have to go out and *buy* a DI-box. I did not have money to pay my *rent*, a few days ago; my mum borrowed me money to pay for this. So I am in no position to spend money on DI-boxes! Furthermore, I don't know anybody who *has* a DI-box. I could provide you with a guitar track recorded through this 47K input, but it wouldn't sound right, so what's the use?

Let me put it this way: we all go through better and worse days in our lives, and I've seen better...

Heeb.

Hey, I'm not a native english speaker: what is "slag off"?
msl wrote:If you don't like the amp sim, don't buy it.
Didn't I write that I actually *do* *like* it?
msl wrote:Simple. Maybe spare us all the pointless fanatical trash talk, please?
Midiworks, if I pointlessly, fanatically talked trash, I apologise, OK?

Basically, I'm just curious when this amp sim will see the light of day...
