yeah that is what attracted me to it... old knobs, OD Green and the neck is scrumptious. hate the drop D thingy and gonna remove it... it is a fine way to have your tuning go out. love the floyd but i am not into a whammy that much so i am thinking of blocking it like my old floyds and kahler... what i DO love about those trems is the fine tuning knobs on the bridge... great for a quick adjust while playing since you ain't gotta grab the head during a performance or wait til in between sets lol. but i must say that the rose is imo the best bridge i have ever used. (this is my third) it is built like a tank and once you get the intonation in you can hit it with a hammer and it won't go out of tune. the strings may stretch out of tune with a bend but that is why the fine tuners are at the ready. she is quickly becoming my favorite guitar cheers

I decided I really do need a 12 string acoustic for recording again - the models on the Variax are good fun, but no substitute really for sticking a mic in front of a real one.
For the amount of times I'd use it (and having lived in Yorkshire for nearly 30 years) I didn't want to spend to much, so I took a gamble and bought one of these based on the overall decent reviews;

Pretty surprised how good it actually is. There is a bit of rattle if you bash it (nothing major, within my tolerance levels
), but the action is nice, it stays in tune, the intonation is good (particularly for a 12), and it has a lovely ringy tone - belying the price. The electo-acoustic bit is a bonus, but is good as well - sounds much clearer than on my Epiphone 6 string, which cost twice as much.
Result!

Why do they have a £10,000 guitar just hanging on the wall with no protection when Tesco have £15 bottles of booz with anti theft devices fitted.resynthesis wrote:I hope this isn't going to be anybody's here...

It's now 17 months since I bought a new guitar, and won't be buying another one anytime soon. I was buying, on avg., 4 guitars a year over a period of 10 years. I am left with 19. Glad that insanity is over.
I've gotten tired of turning my computer on and playing through amp sims, though, so I've ordered a Fender Super-Champ x2 head, should be here by Tuesday. If I don't like it, I'll probably go for the Peavey Classic 20w head. That has a power soak, the Fender doesn't.
