Wow, I thought that was GTR's weakest point. The crunch sound that is. I liked the GR2 crunch sound better than any software sim I've heard yet. Best emulation at the moment but it's not as great as it seems from the demos (yes I paid $40 for the dongle just to demo it), best crunch sound though, I will be surprised if AT2 will surpass it.
I suspect that AT2 is going to have features that we haven't heard about based on the delay and some things Squids has said more than once like, "AT2 was planned to be out much sooner but there were a few unexpected hold ups. I think you will understand when it is out what I am talking about." He has eluded to more than once that there are going to be some 'mind blowing' features. I could be wrong, but my impression is IK may be adding new features or refining features to compete and surpass the recently released GR2 and GTR.
Wishful thinking? Maybe, but I really do have a feeling AT2 will surpass the both of them. Then again, I'm not Ms. Cleo, so who knows.
AT2 already does a lot of things those two don't do and I am sure visa versa. IK doesn't copy. But, like I said, something as awesome as AT2 does not come without its own challenges and complications to be able to do what it does. It is not an ordinary plug-in. A lot of things have to be done for it to be right in many aspects. Sorry to be cryptic but you guys know I am under NDA so I have to be careful not to speak out of turn.
