energyxt doesn't loop while in looping mode using audiomulch. Also, BPM adjusment doesn't allow keyboard input, only by mouse

do you mean audiomulch is in looping mode, or XT2 is? if external sync is on, it'll use audiomulch's loop. if you want it to loop separately, you have to turn off external sync, but there's no way to automate XT2's transport yet so its usefulness is somewhat limited.not the man wrote:energyxt doesn't loop while in looping mode using audiomulch. the keyboard issue happens in all hosts, and changes when you dock or undock something.

Turned off external sync and that takes care of one problem, so thanks. Unfortunately, now xt2 immediately crashes when put in play. I believe someone else had the same issue.

confirmed. this happens when the XT2 VST is "turned off" by the host, and you try to add a track or automation lane via the right-click menu. the host will freeze up.in another thread, alex zonder wrote:After a long time I wanted to try out the XT2 VSTi again in REAPER, to see how useful its drum track could be. it happens in any host. to see it in XT2, add the VST as a send (it'll be disabled if no audio is sent to it).
it doesn't freeze if the VST is active, or if you add tracks by other methods (double-click an empty space, drag & drop presets from the browser, etc.).

drag and drop a vst from the browser into ext2 will crash both, ext2 and ableton (or another host)
deleting cc (control change not a envelope) isn't possible (is there a shortcut?).

Works, if VST is dragged and dropped to EXT2 VST from Windows Explorer.

Bumped several times already:
eXT crashes Wavelab and Cubase SX3
No matter if I use GearBox with Wavelab (which seems to crash recently too, even after the latest update) or not (just a parallel compression array). I call this a serious bug, the developer remained silent since the bug was adressed.

Sorry, not convincing at all. Jorgen told me once himself(!), he'll look into that issue - and to me it is a serious one, cause it's not working in two of the major hosts on the market.
If he's non responsive and/or that bug will never be adressed, then to hell with eXT.

your original report is only about Wavelab 4. how does it crash Cubase?

I think the point is, you've made quite a lot of mention of it, in a short space of time, and it's starting to seem a bit spammy. Of course, you want the issue fixed and you have every right to want that, but DJSubject is right, Jorgen doesn't respond to every BR (only a few actually, it seems), and it can seem like bullying if you keep making a fuss until the dev "gets it" from your point of view.
I think if Jorgen was going to have read it, he will have already, and if not, no matter how much you flail, it will never help.
And I'm not saying this is how it should be, but you might try to sell XT and save yourself the headache... Even if Jorgen fixes it, he may or may not respond, and when I say fixes it, I mean for the 2nd version, not the 1st. I really think you've done all you can, short of emailing the man himself a few times, but harassment won't get it done. I understand how tempting and frustrating it is though... I'm sorry that you can't get the fix you deserve.

The thing is I have the problem with both eXT1 and eXT2. Since eXT1 is my go to tool as eXT2 doesn't feature "turning off individual plugins" on the left side (mixer view in eXT1) - but I guess I won't have another choice and need to stick to XT2.
Still, at least the developer could chime in, say "oh yeah, that is indeed serious, I'm working on it asap" - this is what I call customer support, and this is what happens at all other firms. But seeing as the developer doesn't even respond in general, that since the fusion with Behringer btw, and the upcry for "XT2 to be more like XT1" is still ignored, or hell looking even at the large bugreport thread(!), no wonder that the users slowly go over the edge.
Seriously, I just want a tool that I can use. This is why I paid for it, and it's what I actually wanted to use it for, as sounddesign tool - in both Cubase and Wavelab (with emphasis on Wavelab, since I do most of my audio engineering stuff there). XT Software is thankfully not like Crysonic with constant promises that were never kept, but due to the positive critism and praise here on KVR, I expect a bit more than just plain silence.
Like I said, even Steinberg is more responsive. Or take a look at Wusik, Rayzoon, etc.
Oh, and I didn't spam the "support email" adress yet, perhaps I should do that and maybe get a response this time.
