Which one in the UI ?

On the master FX section, I inserted the UVIMaster and tweaked the "tube" knob, the one at left.

By the way, I got problems too with some presets in my Plugsound Pro soundbanks.

For example :
- Vinyl Vibes (no attack, strange sound)
- Synth Leads (the were playing with a no attack, like pads)
- Attack Flute (almost no sound on high octaves, and a LOW volume on lower octaves)
- 5th (strange low volume sound)
- Attack Lead (same)

And it crashed while changing presets .

Pre-Plugsound pro soundbanks won't be supported, but these soundbanks are all included and enhanced (more multi-samples, FXs...) in the PlugSoundPro library.
there was 6 PlugSounds 650Mo each, which make 3.9Go and the plugsoundpro soundbank weights 8Go...

What the hell is with installer that doesn't provide choice where to install this thing? It automatically installs itself in C:\Program Files\... and plugin is installed in C:\Program Files\Steinberg whatever (why the hell you think that everyone uses Steinberg hosts anyway?), so I had quite a hard time installing it because I DON'T HAVE DRIVE C: on my system at all, god damn it! Even the worst, it even automatically defiled my Start menu with its program group. When will developers finally learn that no one needs 18674616 useless groups in Start menu created by stupid VST plugin installers? This is lame and totally unprofessional. Using PACE is too, by the way. Those cretins at PACE cannot even properly write a driver so the system won't need a restart after its installation.

As expected, this "workstation" doesn't even work - Tracktion just disappears when scanning VST plugins. So the hell with it.

This is a known issue. You shouldn't have any problem with the standAlone version though.

Regarding the installer, we'll see what we can do about it.

Yeah, the installer seems to recognize whatever the default VST directory is in your registry. However, I put my plugins in folders and it didn't seem to give the option to put it in a subfolder.

Working fine (got to work again with it...) in standalone and as a plug in Logic 8.02 (OS 10.5.3, Mac G5 PPC).

First trouble I have is you can't almost save .aupreset (crash). I've written "almost" because even if Logic has crashed, the .aupreset file is in the relevant folder.
But when you want to load it, crash again.


BTW, X-Treme FX and Ultrafocus failed AU validation since 8.02 update.
Any fix in the loop ?

Will this new engine (once finalized of course) benefit to the old UVI engine, and thus lead to a (free and welcome) update for Motu instruments ?

I believe that you are the company under those Motu's VIs, and I ask that question because I happen to own a copy of Ethno Instruments, which is very-very far from being the most stable plugin that I use....(not to mention supported)

Based on the Net discussions, I'm defintely not the only one suffering user-problems, and the updates are almost non-existing, to the point that I even came to wonder if the deal with MOTU was broken.

So, as soon as I saw this thread, I came to hope for some kind of revival, which coulb be beneficial to people like me..

There won't be any update on X-Treme FX and Ultrafocus plugins.
However, the Synth Anthology(UltraFocus) and XTremeFX Soundbank are available for the new UVIWorkstation platform.

I got crash again, while :

- double-clicking on a preset name in the GUI (not in the browser)
- switching presets using the arrows near "A1" on the GUI

Another preset that has no attack with this workstation :

Hey Guys,

We have updated the version on the server.
No version number modification though for quicker delivery to you.
The installer date should be different though.

The VST PC version can now be launched
Crash with filter or drive removal are fixed.
Crash related to browser.
