b4 Squids reply I voted for Sampletank3 & that's what I want it to be. But after what Squidmeister posted, I'm thinking it's gona be TRacks3 (altho, I still want it 2b ST3)

Well since you have to be in it to win it, my vote is for T-Racks although I'm hoping it's Sampletank that will be upgraded.

I think and hope that it's going to be T-RackS 3

the 1st being the standalone version the second incarnation was the plug-in version and now it's a big revamped super mastering and mixing app in version 3

SampleTank was unveiled in trade magazines in March, 2001. GigaSampler (the fore-runner to GigaStudio) was unveiled at Winter NAMM in 1998, a full three year gap. GigaStudio was only subsequently unveiled in early 2000, but to characterize it as "the new whiz" doesn't really do justice to how big a foothold it had developed by that time.

I was aware of that. Perhaps my usage of the word new whiz was inappropriate.

Anyways, I'm 100% convinced it is ST3, and I pray that it is. If it isn't i'll be disappointed.

...and the point of this thread is? What does it matter what we speculate? It will be what it is when they announce it. All I'd like is some more MIDI functionality and routing options in XGEAR... aside from that I'm happy with all my IK products in their current incarnations.

In my view, I hope it's not SampleTank, as I never really liked it and found no use for this instrument in my workflow.
