I hear Vangelis will be submitting Blade Runner's opening theme shortly.
EDIT: Just re-read above. I was being funny - not arch. How cool is it that we have the actual synth creator entering the comp? Very cool synth Togu. Haven't heard your track yet but if you win, I'll be laughing my head off in your honour.

Got my track finished, but had to do it on headphones .... had all the power of a huge leather ball smashing down a fortress ... but then had a listen on speakers ... and it was more a moth being fried over a candle.
Never mind, I've saved myself the bother of leaving the remaining composition work 'til the last minute, and despite the fact I'll be off gigging early tomorrow and will only have Sunday night to work with, I now only have the mix to take care of ... and I wont be doing it on headphones!!!
Cheers for the submissions Togu, and Toto
... it's looking like a healthy number of submissions ... and still about 2 days and 9 hours to go.

Have been listening to the submitted tracks so far; great tracks all around. It seems to me that the quality of tracks is getting better with each OSC.
I was not drawn to Noisemaker myself, but listening to these tracks I think I'll give Noisemaker another chance. No time for me to participate (yeah I know, same thing with SQ8L) but personal life is too hectic atm. Will be voting for this one for sure
You guys are making great tunes, keep 'm coming

Hello!
Looks like I've missed last five OSCs, but now again I have hype on making music. Probably I'll have some time later this month. So... see you in next OSC

And finally, my little track were uploaded on soundcloud (by the way, very good idea to upload the track on soundcloud)...
Some infos...
I liked the idea making music with one synthesizer and i asked myself: am i able to make music with only one patch?
I tried and made the following track (http://soundcloud.com/xenox-afl/fn-the- ... set-song-1)
The track was completely made out of one "main preset", i used the preset "BS Syncetel Bass FN" and made all the sounds, i just added Ringmod and/or FM to the main preset and/or i changed the envelope/filter, that's all...
The track cannot compete with the other entries which were very, very good, but i had fun making this smaaal demo, enjoy...
- 10 instances of Noizemaker
NO MORE EFFECTS were used except Logic9 compressor and Limiter..

Hi there,
just added my track.
Done with Tunafish using around 20x Noisemaker (1.6) and Tunafishs integrated effects (Reverb, Delay and Gatemask)
Name of the track is "This is a Test" because I thought, when I'm not able to create a good track, because I'm just using factory presets and putting togehter some patterns. Maybe I can impress you with a new preset creation. When I try to create the sentence "This is a Test" with Noisemaker, I just need around 5 phonems.
The "th", "is", "a", "t" and "es" where two of them, "th" and "t"; and "is" and "es" sound quite similar.
When you listen to the song, you will think "what is he talking about, I can't here anything".
Could be you, listen carefully...
No seriously, this reminds me on the good old times in school:
I tried, and I failed... but at least I had a lot of fun...
I wanted to participate and when I'll be the last I know which synth I suggest for the next one synth challenge: new blend by xoxos

I see no problem using "Factory presets", there are lotsa dudes who are using only Factory Presets....

Just uploaded a track - first time I've finished a track in a few years, so be gentle about the mix. Seems that woking towards a deadline does me good. anyhoo..
4x7 by kx.001
Sequenced / mixed in Reaper
13 x NoiseMaker
7 ReaDelay
2 JS Exciters (Reapers own plugin programming thing)
1 autopanner
Assorted EQ and compression on differect tracks.
I had started on the track before reading the rules about trying to shy away from effects and never got round to optimizing the whole thing.
Any feedback for some one returning to music making after a bit of a break is much appreciated too. And hopefully I'll make the deadline for giving scores for this one too, unlike that last one

Hello, i've just uploaded an entry to the competition. This time we teamed up with uiiuiiu, and got this track started a while ago. Later on i totally destroyed it and lost my temper with it.. Its quite far from where I would have wanted it to be, but the deadline is here so here we go.

Whoa.. i gave a quick listen to tracks submitted, and seems that this synth has attracted a lot of good composers.. Overall quality of tracks is very high this time around!
