Hey .. I edited my original post a bit because I wanted to try and make my point clearer.
Yea that is exactly my point. I think u'r right that Sylenth's future is dead. That he does not have the stomach to admit it is precisely what is wrong here. Since Sylenth still has healthy sales, he would have to be either a saint or a fool to admit it, or at least thats the commonly held belief nowadays.
I guess he's decided to just leave it at that, and continue to enjoy sales while they last. Sales on macs will die out soon, but I think they will continue on PC for quite a while longer.

How do you guys know (besides Lennard himself) how sales are exactly going? This is just your speculation, right? I don't mean to sound harsh but I'm curious what your sources are to make such a claim.CT wrote:Since Sylenth still has healthy sales, he would have to be either a saint or a fool to admit it, or at least thats the commonly held belief nowadays.

It is speculation, I have no idea. It is based on squar's assertion (assumption?) that there are still healthy sales. And based in part on my own assumption that Sylenth is still very popular, particularly among windows PC users. And will continue to be popular as a preset machine for some time to come, judging by the sheer amount of presets available.dalor wrote:How do you guys know (besides Lennard himself) how sales are exactly going? Anyway, when more significant issues are being discussed here, it makes no sense to me that you'd nitpick on this completely irrelevant point to everyone, except Lennard himself. Again, not trying to be harsh, but this imo is detracting from the real point of this discussion, which is of whether sylenth has been abandoned and if he has the stomach to admit it.
And lastly, the amount of posts Ive made on KVR in the last two days is plain unhealthy, not to mention super-unproductive, so Im outta here.

My thought was if he still makes good sales it would allow him to keep going with development, maybe updates, new products, etc.. That is all. I didn't mean to bash anyone with this question. I would like to know from the developer himself what's happening before spending my money.

No no didn't think you were bashing at all
Was just saying that wasn't really what I was talking about.
If you're thinking of buying it, an option is to get it cheap from the marketplace. But I'd suggest you do that only if you're on windows. Even without updates, it is a good synth, and it should remain useable on windows for a long long time.

Please keep your ridiculous rumours and speculations to yourselves, here are some FACTS:
1. Sylenth1 is not, was not and never will be abandoned.
2. The source code did NOT get lost.
3. The last update was May 2010, not 3 years ago.
4. We provide full and fast support on daily basis via email for any problems or questions our customers may have. (However, questions and speculations about future updates/products will be ignored, so don't bother asking. This has always been the case and will always continue to be. This does not mean we are not working on new updates/products (in fact we are), it just means we choose not spread rumours about them).
5. Any future posts on this forum that contain rumours and gossip will be deleted permanently.
