Like already said by many, this has been the hardest vote by far. Was agony cutting some good songs, but it had to be done so:

5 pts: IrionDaRonin - From daydreaming to reality
Really like this complete song with strong melody and fat production, but it's also a good bag of top Tyrell sounds.

4 pts: JoeCat - Another Industrial Accident
Was close for top spot with brilliant compositional use of top sounds and showing Tyrell's range really well. Clever stuff.

3 pts: Yeager - What the Fugue ?
Was always happy when this came round on the playlist: Cool, fun and with connecting melody as well as showing Tyrell's range.

2 pts: Steplton - 9_00pm
As usual very clever and advanced composition from you, but maybe not matched with a show of standout sounds to go higher this time.

1 pt: Stonail - Cycling on Tyrell's surface
Was my second personal favorite, I really dug this from the start. But like with Steplton maybe not showing Tyrell's sounds to the fullest.

I cant believe I missed the vote Aaaaargh ... especially as i had all my notes done. :(

Oh well, hopefully the notes will be more value than the points .... oh, and the tracks with an asterisk before them are the ones I had narrowed down.

..............................................................................

String Theory - The metallic piano is great ... fit's well atop the fat, pumping, growling bass and drums.

Distractions - Love the cabasa/shaker sound. All the sounds are pretty solid and effective in their role in a well balanced mix. Dont think the track needed to be this long though.

Night Race - Nice use of excellent sounds, and good variation in their combination. Excellent mix and production.

*Myoplex - No danger of falling asleep to this one! Nice edgy sounds in a well produced, fun filled composition.

Phatso - As with myoplex, but with a bit more malevolence and a hint of retro game sound.

Richard D - Nice track. From the off, sets up a swishy and fluffy sound bed for other sounds to jump all over. A nice composition, and very well produced.

*Rachael - Sweet intro, nice electro-flute sound. Excellent range of quality sounds all round in a lovely well constructed composition, well produced with bags of light and shade.

Industrial Accident - Good percs. Nice stereo width and great use of 'incidentals'

What The Fugue - Strong and yet well contained start. Good quality 'creamy' sounds, strong, well produced, if slightly too circular composition with a cracking punchy bass.

Pommesexport - Understated but quirky. Good range of sounds which never compete - having been assigned well defined roles. Yeah, good composition, mix and production all round ... however, the ending gives a hint of the dynamics which could have been better exploited.

Blade - Intense track, with a sense of adventure, good sounds, but limited in variation. Good work on the production though, to keep those sounds from clashing must have taken a fair bit of tweaking.

*9.00 - excellent sounds .... impressive production, good feel from a very melodic and well constructed composition. great dynamics and variation. consider all boxes ticked!

*Dryrell - Aaah, this is good stuff! Weird and wonderful at the same time - daring to mess with scales, and yet weaving a musical safety net. Clever stuff. Good pass marks on production, mix and composition, and bonus marks on creating a cool track with sounds which, whilst neither which stand out, definitely 'work as a team'.

Where are you? - well err ... I'm half way between a big open sky and trapped inside an old wooden radio. Great experiential track, decent production, nice playing around with the sounds - a very comfortable, airy, yet stimulating piece.

So Tyrelled - Cool track :) This one could be 'that' demo of the first electronic synth to surpass the 'elecronic organ' and justifiably celebrates with it's tongue out :)

*Daydreaming - Beautiful airy opening. Great mix and production. Dreamy composition which needs to be as long as it is. Good sounds, well constructed and nice pace. Just love the AIR!

Belly Dancer - Cool lead. Perc sounds good, but missing a 'jarry' cymbal to punctuate appropriately for the mood. Production/sounds slightly on the muddy side to support that lead.

Dis-cussion - Mad percs! Good 'stabby' sounds and tasty bass. Clean production with no congestion ... offering space to appreciate the excellent sounds. Well organised composition all round with a great variation of sounds all suiting their role.

*Saddest Goodbye - Lovely sounds and superb dynamics. Love that 'swallowing' bass. Well produced, soaring track, cool composition with well timed variations sandwiched between a great intro and a smooth ending which says one word to the listener ... "again". Therefore, well titled - except it's not sad, and it's not 'goodbye'.

*Home Planet - Good sounds, but sounding a wee bit like they are in a box.... except the bass has escaped. Correct me if I'm wrong Mike, but have I not heard this one before? .... no matter if I have... just curious.
Lovely changes of mood, atmosphere and texture - those syrupy strings are gorgeous. Great production, composition, mix and sounds with plenty of dynamic light and shade. A really pleasant journey well worth the 7+ minutes :)

*Radium - Oooh moody. This is one I dont want to break off and show me another side to it's character... and it doesn't. Does enough and more without strolling out of it's own tense dark neighbourhood. Yeah, this is one where my judging criteria mean nothing ... and yet, in terms of sounds, range thereof, mix, composition, and production .. pass marks all round!

*Nanozombies - Wooochah! This one simultaneously sells the synth whilst scaring the customers away!! I love it. Ticks all the boxes for sure in terms of imaginitive composition, production, mix, sounds etc. It wont win, but it won't go unacknowledged - great work ... You got something out of this synth that the synth didn't want you to get out of it :)

*Biomechanical - This is pretty impressive. Sounds like something done live and improvised in a corrugated iron cowshed! Good sounds for sure and each effective in it's role. Love it!

Short Tyrell - Nice work, full of interesting and edgy sounds.... could have gone anywhere with a bit more time.

Tyrellisaurus Rex - Nice track, Good sounds creating a tense vibe, but opening out nicely. good compositions and good full sounding production.

Freak Me Out - 80s disco, good stuff. Love the vocalish sound. Overall a little formulaic perhaps, but pleasant to listen to, good sounds, mix, and production.

*Tannhauser Gate - Well constructed piece. Good quality sounds and that little change around half way was exactly what was required. well produced and a very engaging track overall.

*Vulcan Jazz - Nice gentle intro with good selection of sounds, then those snappy percs! Excellent piece ...hung on simple tune, but with lots of variation of instrumentation and dynamics, and unexpected key changes, it sounds great.

Cycling - Nice composition ... sparse to begin, then building nicely, a good range of feelings from a limited collection of sounds.

Tyrell - Nice track with great quality sounds, Good production.

*Isle Of The dead - I love this - an atmospheric musical conversation giving character to the great sounds used. Very entertaining.

I think you can vote yet, V'ger didn't say anything about "The votes are closed" yet, you know, with those yellow letters.

Congrats Doc Jon!

Gorogorgorgorgorgorgor.... - You were on my short-list; glad you got some points or I would have felt bad if you were dead last - that was a really inventive track. Plus, Doc didn't need the extra point

Totally agree. Gorgorgath always making a very personal tracks, it's not my style, but i told him in his Soundcloud track, he must keep making those personal tracks, because someday, with them, he could makes school.
Music evolutes and music changes constantly. The personal tastes of listeners are unlimited in this life. So keep it up.

And congratulations for the winners. Specially that second place for my favourite track, Pocvecem.

Cheers everyone and have a good day. :)

And congrats to Doc John. Was a rather close run.
Congrats to all of you!

Hope I can finish the first of my new tracks soon (3-4 weeks). So you are invited to visit me at soundcloud. But be aware, something completely diferent will come!

Thanks again and cheers from Bavaria,

OMG OMG OMG WOW!!!
:wheee: :wheee: :wheee: :wheee: :wheee:

Thanks so much everyone, I'm genuinely surprised but incredibly pleased as you can imagine!

I feel rather humble when I compare myself to the seriously professional entries that appeared in this month's contest, so I'm really grateful to all who voted for me

Gerald - you're so right, it was really really close

Because it was only on loan for the contest I shall now return that infamous bass line to its rightful owners, I believe Donna has it weekdays and Giorgio takes care of it at weekends

Thanks V'ger for your steady hand on the wheel as always, and obviously to Urs for the best synths on the planet

See you all next month! In the meantime ... ZEBRA - come to daddy!!!! :)
