I guess they don't want to offer support to pre-release versions or have pre-release discussion cluttering the released version discussion areas which will surely create confusion.

Most developers keep pre-release versions to a select few with NDAs etc so I appreciate their transparency and the wider circle of pre-release users means they get a lot more opportunities to catch bugs before the release version.

Look at Cubase 8 - current release kills menus in lots of plugins (eg Overloud). How the hell did that get out in the wild???

I dunno, I'm particularly testy today. The fact is that it's in pre-release. I can understand why they don't want people to talk about it, but that genie is out of the bottle. For the record, I tried editing my post and mentioning "don't talk about fight club" and it was like asking the pope for a gram of coke.

What? Your not making any sense. I'm sorry if you feel slighted, but I'll try to explain.

Fight club means that we're not supposed to talk about the pre releases over here. Don't take my being upset at reaper right now the wrong way. Oh @ reaper forum, you'll get nothing from me over there other than the lounge (and I'm pretty brutal there)

He is more like a Mr. Bean, and I'm sure he has a suitable jpg ready.

But honestly I don't understand this secrecy! I thought to write what I like and not about the beta or the pre-release but I read it must be only in a specific forum there.
Anyway, there is no point of this thread then till version 5 be released!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

It's just something that they asked people not to do. That's all.

Again, the genie is out of the bottle. There is not any going back now. I actually forgot about it.

Ok, we will hold our tongues or indeed now it is the time for that photo that you always post ().

Yesterday I spent a good deal with the pre-release, but I was reading the Midi editing in the manual of version 4.75. Then I begin to customize! I was very surprised of the so many actions are there! I found many hidden gems (like for example "split note(s) according to the grid"). I really felt very good about it. I really don't mind such kind of bloat in the menu or toolbar (just when I need it, it is not there!).

Anyway, all I can say about the pre-release is that I like it more than version 4 but "Mmmemmmemmmmemmemememm!" :-x :bang: :uhuhuh: In the end "Mmmmemmmmemmemmmemmemm!" :tu: :harp: Ok, I said it and spit it out from my mind! :phew:

You have to keep your Reaper version moving forward or it dies.
