I think that has happened more than his loyalists wish to believe.
I don't think anyone here dislikes William himself.

well the people with criticisms on the way the business end was handled have all said that they like the instruments, myself included. so i think the separation is there. we were asked about our experience...and although the instruments are in fact very good (i use v7 all the time), the overall experience is dampened greatly by the business side.

thats just how it is.

I agree in principle, but it seems the two are inextricably linked. William pretty much IS the business. He seems to be the developer, marketer and tech support. He's the only person there I've ever dealt with--though, again, he is quick, courteous and helpful in his replies.

It may just be that too many people felt burned by that whole 4000/8000 thing, and I can understand why.

The OP was just about the d50 sound. Which I like the sound of in wusik's instrument.

If there are going to be discussions or speculative arguments about wusik's business practices then post a different thread....
I think it's perfectly fair to describe an interaction with a developer in this context. When I bought his latest bundle I knew exactly what I was getting into, but I could see being pretty pissed off if I hadn't.

It is always a smart strategy to "read before signing" ;)

Although anything you read is also subject to change without notice and on a whim.

Didn't your mama once tell you that if you got nothing nice to say, don't say anything :help:

I think you have made your beef with Wusik quite clear in the thread already.

Apparently not since you think I have a 'beef' with them.
I've been quite adamant about simply waiting for the mud to settle before one buys and not get sucked in to earlier products no longer supported or developed - leading to ultimately having to buy the product that will be. (or at least promised to be).

Does not matter. Beefs will be beefs.

BTW...if anyone cares to remember the NI Kore2 debacle was a lot similar as this one.

Does Wusik have a notification regarding any changes that could be made? If there is no notification then.... :help:

My mother taught me to tell the truth,
especially if it can help another from having the same negative experience.

you seem to be missing the point that what we were told we were buying turned out to not be what we actually got.

"read before signing" doesnt apply when what youre given to read is inaccurate, or rather in this case it was intentionally misleading. which is in fact worse than simply being inaccurate.

What are these bugs you refer to?

The product can hardly be classified as broken, then it wouldn't load at all in DAWs.

I've been as nice as I can and trying to not use any ad hominem in the points of practices over personality.
Baiting me or others to do so is the 'mud' of this tactic.
My points are about the practices, not the personality.

And this thread mostly comes down to three discussions:
1. The Product.
2. The Business.
3. The Person.
In which #3 has no place here (IMO).
Because #2 has been the most in question,
Then #1 would be wisest to consider only after it is a reality and officially released.

But those shouldn't stop a person from bidding on them in the charity auction.
Because that's not about any of those three at all. It's about the children.
