I like iPhone because of its workflow, stability, quality and because it "works as declared and described" (that comes with a price and at the end, it is worth it IMO) - even if doesn't implement every possible feature and it doesn't contain the latest & the best state-of-the-art components.
So, I like Reason for the same reasons. Even with version 1.0, Reason was ahead of competition in many aspects. The most efficient and original program and incredible, fun to use, creativity / productivity booster. And that is what it counts for me the most when making music. Reason will NEVER be like Studio One, Cubendo etc. - it will always be something special, not trying to be a copycat most of the time. One thing i really missed in Reason was Melodyne-style audio pitch editing - now it comes with Reason 9 - good times
I could always use zillion MIDI options in my Cubase/Nuendo, but usually i prefer to do MIDI sequencing and arrangements in Reason.
