For example the sequence around 18:30. My wish/hope is if its possible to come closer to that wild unruly bass that you can hear at 19:12. The hardware sounds alive with more round bass and saturation . That little extra is one of my favourite thing with those old vintage machines. Even if it takes down the whole cpu a button to turn on extra quality would be great at 44.1khz.
Im not here to debate software vs hardware I just wish it could be done with pro-1 and prophet 5. I have just bought some nice midi controllers so would love to use some software but there still things that can be improved imo.

One Pro-1 will have a particular character at one setting that another Pro-1 doesn't. The difference from one machine to another is not a quality difference but just difference. Because there is one setting on one Pro-1 at one moment in time that has a character you like, does not mean you can increase oversampling or otherwise use more cpu in RePro-1 and somehow get that sound. It is not possible for RePro-1 to represent all the lovely little sweet spots of every Pro-1 that exists.mooneh wrote:In this video

I heard the same things 10 years ago, every machine sounds different. Thats not what Im talking about. Now we are very close though. Im looking forward to the prophet 5 plugin very much, more than any hardware released lately. Just laying this out there and hoping for someone to work even harder

Urs, it's OK, nothing interesting happening in here. Get back to the synth please.
You people must be completely out of your minds if you think you can advise Urs Heckmann on how to make a synthesizer plugin. Seriously. You really for a second right there think you know any better? Totally bonkers.

No worries, design-by-committee has indeed never been a great idea. Nor has dismissal-of-any-feedback. I guess there's a middle ground.
That said, I think we're on a good track with Repro-5. It's going to be a bit less erratic than the vintage hardware. Having to hit the tune button every 3 or so minutes won't be necessary.

One day i gotta figure out what Urs has to him that so many strangers on the net take party for him, defend him, and try to shield him from any harm which could potentially done from evil people on internet forums to him. I'm sure there's a psychological technicality for this.

Heh... you should not have mentioned that... now someone is gonna ask for that as a featureUrs wrote:

Im not telling him how to do a plugin. Im just giving him feedback of what I hear. I have used said synth for a long time. Pro-1 and Minimoog are my favourite mono analogs but I dont have any good poly. I always see people complain about CPU so I just want to let him know there are also people who think the sound is more important.Admirallo wrote:Urs, it's OK, nothing interesting happening in here. This is just my opinion of course. I knew this is extremely sensitive especially in the U-HE forum and that people would respond like this. Anyway my feedback received Im out..

I don't defend him as much as I'm weary of the smartasses never for once having a synthesizer made, yet thinking they are safe to advise a real, professional synth programmer. Relax, guys, you're not in the position. Urs knew all this stuff when you were walking under the table. You're not to teach him anything.
And please don't lie, you do tell him how to make this synth each time you leave all these "I want this, I want that" comments. By doing this you're trying to have your influence on the outcome. But you forget that it is in fact Urs himself who is more than anyone else here or whatever interested in Repro-5 to come out the best possible way. Not you. And he knows how to do that better than any other person here. Now why don't you leave him be and do his job. Better go tell bloody Arturia there's 40hz LFO freq range on a real Jup-8, not 20! These French slackers can't fix this thing since the mammoths! And it's a simple shit, FFS! But I digress...

Told them some months ago (I perceived the difference when comparing with Roland Jupiter plugin). Got this response: "I transmit your remarks to the test team. Thanks for your feedback." BTW, it seems that a update to Arturia plugins is coming this month.Admirallo wrote: Better go tell bloody Arturia there's 40hz LFO freq range on a real Jup-8, not 20! Because he seems so much of a dedicated, humble nice guy ? We should ask the other guys at u-he ...chk071 wrote:One day i gotta figure out what Urs has to him that so many strangers on the net take party for him, defend him, and try to shield him from any harm which could potentially done from evil people on internet forums to him.
