Check out Nova 3 and MbiraGen both are generative.
both are 32 and 64 bit. Likely will work in Windows 10.

Nova 3 works in Windows 10 at least, but you cannot download them from the website above, go to http://www.vst4free.com/ instead.Kalamata Kid wrote:Free Plugins by ToneCarver

It's a nice little step sequencer but I fear that is abandonware. The dev canvassed for ideas for updates about 2 years ago but no updates have appeared since.Topcheese wrote:I didn't know about the B-step, I'm checking that out now!

Well it's cool, but I'll stick with Nora and Liquid Music. Thanks for the heads up!

Does anybody know of a random midi note sequence generator where the randomize button can be automated or activated by cc? I have tried the HY freebies (don't know if they have been mentioned in this thread but they are great for random sequence generation) and the Max for Live sequencer that comes with Live Suite but without success.
Have my eye on the Audiomodern Random Riff Generator (on sale at the moment) but cannot find if random function is automatable.

If you have max4live then every randomisation parameter in the excellent MidiVolve is automatable.SHall1000 wrote:Does anybody know of a random midi note sequence generator where the randomize button can be automated or activated by cc? I thought I would flag this very recent Max4Live discovery up (discovered two days ago by accident, purchased today - last day of winter sale).

This thing is deep but very intuitive to use. It is a hybrid between an innovative sequencer and a generative device. If you like Nodal then you will feel right at home (but it offers much much more than Nodal). If firing up the piano roll makes you want to go to sleep or gives you an instant creative block then it might be for you.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but LiquidMusic can do quite a bit. It's workflow is a little slow but if you spend time with it you can come up with some interesting stuff.
THere's also LiquidRhythm too for creating beats.

Audio Damage Axon uses a neural net to generate midi triggers for its internal or an external synth/sampler.
Jamstix is somewhat generative.
