Nope, but bald head :hihi:

Is this some kind of Synthanorma clone / emulation ?

Post

No, it has no specific antetype.

Well a Synthanorma emu would have been cool.
But this sequencer is really great as it is - I really enjoy your plug-ins. They're all great ! :tu:

New version 1.0.5 is released.
Cakewalk 64bit support again.

Is there now/or would you consider a means to have to the stand alone load w/o seizing an audio driver?
TIA

(EDIT I found I could force it to Direct Sound & Default with 'none' in the ini file, which frees my ASIO driver for the sound device I want to use, but then the sequencer would not run...)

Post

Interesting, will see what I can do!

Hmm...would it be possible to hold a note for several steps?
Like one long note. Several steps after each other with a note off only for the last step.

Post

Already possible, see preset #05 "Knarrrtz".

Thanks for this very nice Stepsequencer!

Maybe sometime you could revisit the envelope ADSR on the hardware Korg Delta? ADSR always felt a bit choppy on Nabla compared to other paraphonic synths.

Why are the controls hidden from host automation? It would have been great to use this with Novation automap and with Maschine or Push, but none of the knobs are assignable. What a waste!
Also, are the banks switchable by midi notes or something that your DAW can trigger? How do you switch banks from a DAW command?

They are not hidden except for the Play/Rec/Pause buttons and the step controls... 8 controls times 256 steps makes 2048 in total which is a bit hefty... but I am already thinking about a solution, last not least because of many friendly requests by other users.
What a waste!
Indeed, trash it.

By MIDI CC, yes.
How do you switch banks from a DAW command?
See SequencAir manual page 7 section "MIDI Learn". Or pick the French version of the manual.

256 steps? Because of the banks? Why aren't they just 128 controls (8x16) and then each bank recalls the knob settings? That's how I thought it would work.

Each pattern has 256 steps (16 per bank), and it was a technical design decision to assign one control per step (mainly to allow for fast switching banks, reducing internal complexity, improve performance etc.).

The solution I am thinking about is to map MIDI CCs to the step controls of the currently visible bank.

Yeah that would be cool. Would you then be able to also expose the controls of the visible bank to the host for automation/control surface use?
