Hi Jack,JackOnan wrote: Sun Jun 13, 2021 2:33 pm That spring does sound good, but I still prefer OrilRiver's studio reverb type sound in most cases. Back on topic. The amp and effects are sounding great. Any plans to add an impulse loader? Would be cool to save with presets. Not really necessary but convenient.
That sounds perfect. I usually like to mix a couple IRs together. Two would be good I think to start off. Of course theres always more options that are nice if you feel it for version 2.0, like series/parallel, balance, filter, mic position etc, But oh, feature creep.garrinm wrote: Mon Jun 14, 2021 2:06 am Hi Jack,
Thanks for the feedback. I've actually been slowly getting all the legwork done for this feature, so it should be coming. Right now I'm thinking it will be in one of the first patches after release 1.0.
I'm thinking of a fairly straightforward implementation: you specify a file path to the IR(s) and they get loaded while the cab section gets disabled.

Not a bad idea about a visual cue for which tab has active pedals. I'll experiment with some designs for that.jbraner wrote: Mon Jun 14, 2021 5:39 pm I just put a green dot (but it could be anything), when there is at least one pedal on the page, and the orange dot if at least one of them is enabled. If you think that's a good idea - it might even be cool to be able to see this from everywhere - ie the amp and cab tabs - so you'd always know if there are pedals enabled. Maybe just the "dots" at the very bottom?
Feel free to completely ignore these ideas
Is there anything else to be checked?
Yeah, they doHopefully things just sound good.
32 bit, please!!!garrinm wrote: Mon Apr 19, 2021 11:03 pm I'm very glad to announce Swanky Amp Pro is finally in public beta. You can grab it here https://www.resonantdsp.com/swankyamppro/.

I'll be coming back here with more information as time permits in the coming weeks. I'd love to do some more blogs to talk about new technologies in the plugin.
The next step will be the full release which is currently slated for a late early July.
Here's what you get in the beta:
- The new UI
- Six effects pedals: a tube-screamer-like soft clipper, and a DS1-like hard clipper, a Rat-like fuzz, a chorus, a compressor and a boost.
- The new cabinet model with some bells and whistles, more to come later
- Fine-tuned model configuration (it should be easier to find good tones)
I expect the development to continue well after release as I keep building the amp sim I want to use every single day. And I look forward to continuing to listen to the great feedback from the users to help shape that evolution.
- Possibly some bugs, please message support@resonantdsp.com if anything does come up
Thank you very much for your support. I sincerely hope those of you who chose to get the discounted beta have a great experience with it.

I'm looking into this a bit, if there are no major hurdles I'm not opposed. But I don't want to promise anything. Out of curiosity, what kind of hardware do you want to run it on?
I’m glad you’re liking the cab model. After quite some work this week I think it stands on its own finally… hopefully.jbraner wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 4:39 pm I just had a quick run through - and the cabs sound pretty good!
The volume drops a lot when you enable it though.
(vol level with no cab at all compared to enabling the new "C" button)
