I started creating a Windows 10 boot USB on my laptop two hours ago. It’s at 95% complete.

Will probably regret it, but as I’ve done a fresh full install I’m upgrading to Win 11.
Edit: Well it's in. Seems stable. Had a bit of a 'mare at first as the start button and taskbar were missing, but there's a quick powershell fix that seemed to work.
As it's 1AM here I guess I'll leave the fun til tomorrow to do all the installs again. Maybe things will be a little smoother with less apps on.
One benefit is I'll finally be rid of the massive list of MIDI devices that have been on the PC, never could shift them.
Edit2: make that 2AM, at least I’ve now got the RME set up so I’ve got audio, Office365 so I’ve got mail and access to my big list of accounts I have for different things. Tomorrow will have to get DAWs and VSTs sorted.

Glad to hear you resolved it.
The down side to having a non booting system is not being to deactivate plugins licenses and the reinstall, less is more.
I'm still working on the "less is more".

Getting into step 2 with the new samples.
Step 1 was designing and sampling some complex samples.
Step 2 is taking those samples and reconstructing them to be resampled for more playability.
Step 3 will be writing music with them...........

Oh man I'd forgotten about the headache that is soft iLok licences / other licences from VSTs on a reinstalled OS.

When you have over 1000 plugins and you have to reinstall, re-licence and re-validate them largely one at a time it kinda makes you wish there was a better way!

More studio rearranging, configuring/troubleshooting, and integrating a couple of new items. Made some noise jamming with the RYTM mk2, A4 mk2, Sub37, and Virus. Wish I would’ve saved it
Logic Pro | PolyBrute | MatrixBrute | MiniFreak | Prophet 6 | Trigon 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Polar TI2 | Blofeld | RYTMmk2 | Digitone | Syntakt | Digitakt | Integra-7 | TR-8S | MPC One | TD-3 MO

loaded a few bits off komplete, a few uhe bits, then have since added a few audiothing bits and bidule.
that's my audio software.
oh and samplitude and orion were my hosts before bidule, and still get used.
pretty much use the computer as a two track recorder though
more fun than what looks like office work from a distance.
