And that list is of the good or of the bad stuff produced in the 80s?nirm123 wrote: Sun Sep 17, 2023 4:57 pm the 80s gave us:
New Order
The Cure
Pet Shop Boys
Depeche Mode
Tears for fears
The first few exciting of House and Techno before the became junk as well (unfortunately)
Run D.M.C
Public Enemy
The Beastie Boys
De La Soul
Africa Bambaataa
Pixies
Sonic Youth
Only clowns can claim that the 80's was a bad decade for music.
To my taste it's 4 good versus 10 bad acts, while I'm a huge 80s fan.

IMO anyone saying the 60's, 70's, or 80's were terrible for music is clueless. My "time" would be the 80's and 90's but it's blatantly obvious that the biggest innovations in music happened in those three decades.
That doesn't mean amazing music doesn't happen in the previous and preceding decades, just that it's not as genre defining, nowadays it's more like sub genre defining.

80s is where it's at. If you go by what was popular and top40, you're not even scratching the surface
Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what you can do with your DAW

You might be 80s huge fan, but you're my friend, not a huge fan of good music if you think that there are only 4 good acts the list. Every act there is legendary.BertKoor wrote: Sun Sep 17, 2023 5:54 pmAnd that list is of the good or of the bad stuff produced in the 80s?nirm123 wrote: Sun Sep 17, 2023 4:57 pm the 80s gave us:
