I've worked over 200 weddings back in the day, and I hate this song so much. When it comes on, every uncoordinated doof springs up from their seats in this bizarre, hokey frenzy that makes me want to vomit--and the dancing is so bad, so bad.

It sounds awful to me--the most annoying singing--blaring, fake-snazzy, saccharine blech from the singers. I dislike how the instruments sound in conjunction with the vocals, as well.

Emotional Rescue, the Stones.
I could lay down whole genres, let alone 'a song' lol.

I *think* i can get where you are coming from based on context. Cosmic Thing is my least favorite album from the B-52s although I do love Roam. Practically a perfect song.

Lost interest in them after their first two, primarily because those two were perfect in terms of their strengths. Especially the first record. Planet Claire, Dance this Mess Around, Rock Lobster, all great.

I hate too many songs to mention, but everyone's favorite whipping boy is special, We Built this City is probably the dumbest, least interesting song ever written. Hit's all the buttons, lyrics, everything.

Agreed the first record is dynamite - AND - I absolutely love Bouncing Off Satellites. Yep. Bash me in the head as hippy happy gay....I don't care. Solid album from start to finish.

How could you say that? Jefferson Starship built this city on Rock N Roll. How much more important can it be? Not even the Beatles could compare with what the Starship has accomplished.

That song really does encapsulate everything that was wrong with rock in the 80s.

The Onion's AV Club used to have a feature called Hatesong in which mostly musicians would rant about the songs they hate. One of my favorite entries was Steve Albini discussing how he hated "Believe" by Cher because it opened the door to autotune and made the music that came after it worse.

If I were contributing an article to that series, mine would be "You Oughtta Know" by Alanis Morrissette. Sure, you could argue that "Ironic" was worse, especially considering the lyrics. However, like Albini's opinion on "Believe", I believe this song opened the door to a lot of crappy songs that came after.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

There is no other band from the 90s era I can think of that f**ked up radio more than Pearl Jam. Sure Ten is a good album but holy shit that album caused every band and their grandmother to try and sound like Eddie Vedder. And the funny thing is Eddie was more than likely just influenced by Natalie Merchant's style of singing.

This all reminds me of my idea to start a cover band called Endurance Test. The idea is simple, play all the worst most famous ear worm garbage that's come out.

The fun part to me is absolutely everyone at some point likes some garbage music, so you would be ironically laughing at the band until some song you liked was played. :hihi:

I hate that song by Ed Sheeran. Pick any of them. That's the one.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

When I'm 64. I tolerated it when I was young, but it's out of my Sgt. Pepper playlist and replaced with Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane.

She seems genuinely funny and probably a good person, but man I hate that whole album.

I do like "Roam" though, and "We Built This City" is fun to enjoy because other people hate it so much :troll:

I could name an awful lot of 90s songs, but I'll just arbitrarily pick Blind Melon's "No Rain." I can't put my finger on what irritates me about it, it's just overplayed.

Just the other day, I paid attention to the lyrics to "Photograph," and they are disjointed, random--pretty damn weak.
