Basically you had two A/V outputs in a C64, the most common early method people used was RF (tv chan3/4 in North America) - if you used a standard TV, But the machine was provided with line out and s-video (before it was called that) outs through another DIN connector. Most people using C64s for audio use the latter. Or people that had Commodore monitors (C1701, C1702, C1084S etc)

Why would you use the heavily filtered one? To cut highs and be nostalgic I suppose.
I think only one preset uses it and its my take on BoC's roygbiv

David, after playing a sound in CS64 (latest) in renoise, there is still some signal left on the mixer eventhough the sound has stopped. Does not happen with ops7.

Either Osc Leak is "On" in the settings tab, or its constant DC. What type of signal are we talking about?

Hi, i just checked: Osc leak is off. I increased the vol to full and can't hear anything strange, however using the global main volume knob in cs64 affects the "ghost" signal level in renoise mixer. I tried the same in Reaper = No problems there, the levels go down to zero, so it's Renoise only.

Doubt its a Renoise vs Reaper thing as it depends on what you load as preset (or number of SIDs, or types of SIDs). I just tried it in Bidule and yes there are traces of DC in there.
So I guess its "normal". Its not a signal more than a constant level being outputted all the time.
We will have a look at this in the next year. This is (hopefully) my last post until I sleep for two weeks and recover. Have fun and see you early 2024!

47 year old 80’s commodore user here ,loving the presets and sound,it’s unique and inspiring and I’m an experienced synthesist but in a nutshell how on earth does that sequencer work ?

Love that you have added a demo version. Gave it a test run. One thing struck me a potential deal-breaker. I found no way to install it on my secondary drive on my mac and my main drive is getting full and can not be upgraded. Why have you locked it down to only install on Main drive on Mac?

Found a bug , osc1 sync ( provided by osc 3 as master) will not work on an initialised patch when Osc 3 is disabled (only on initialisation)
Enabling then disabling Osc 3 will fix it .
Steps to reproduce .
-Init patch
-Enable osc sync for osc 1
-Turn osc 1 pitch ( the result is NOT like a synchronised osc )
-Enable Osc 3
-Disable Osc 3
-Turn Osc 1 picth , now the result is that of synchronised Osc.

Unless this is all part of the emulation where osc3 has to be enabled -disabled once for osc1 sync to work properly

Not trying to negate your request for custom installation folders (I generally agree with that sentiment).

However, just pointing out the installer is only around 40MB (or less, I believe). Is that really enough to prevent you from purchasing the plugin, if you would otherwise have done so?

Are there perhaps any worse culprits with footprints in the several gigabytes area that are also guilty of installing to the system drive, that might be worth uninstalling to make worthwhile savings?

Also, can anyone advise whether Symbolic links and the like are usable on WIndows and Mac to circumvent such issues?

Found another potential bug
When envelope is set to loop , the curve of the last segment can't be adjusted (exp-log).
This happens most of the time , but not always

It's amazing when listening to the c64 tunes how they could get so much out of a single channel by using frame switching ( at light speed

How do you guys get the most out of 1 channel ?
We have 127 frames to our disposal , I assign a midi cc to it and sequence from renoise ( frame switching per step )
How was frame switching done in the old days , at least the days where trackers were available for c64?
