All the Reddit pics make it look as though it's just under half the size of a Push 3. I can see the form factor making it more useful in some ways than a Push 3 standalone.
The thing that really stands out to me is the profile. The pots stick out a lot - perfect for getting snagged on something. So to be a proper mobile device it would need a decent amount of protection, but I have a feeling that will be extra and probably third party too.

How is anyone playing a synth on that thing?
If this is it, then it's pretty disappointing really. I mean it's nice I guess? but there' s zero reason to own it if you already have Push 3. Plus I think they move glacially, so any new item is just another way to slow down progress on other product.

I cant think of another device this portable (battery assumed!) with velocity sensitive and poly AT on what is effectively a 32 note polyphonic keyboard? I have PUSH 3 SA- its not exactly something you walk around with...move from room to room sure, but this thing could be a cheaper (I think someone did the YEN conversion at around 350 quid Vs 1600 for the full size) entery level PUSH SA and/or a 'throw it in your rucksack' song starter.machinesworking wrote: Mon Oct 07, 2024 6:24 pm How is anyone playing a synth on that thing?

If it is around 350 I think it will be irresistible for a lot of people, even comes with a LIve Lite licence.

That's four octaves of two neighbouring keys... it just takes some getting used to.

Any idiot is different, so here's my point of view (read: judgement of usefulness): the sequencing capabilities will win or lose the game.
If it provides enough tracks, let's say at least 4-6, it could be the center of a hw only setup with some sweet tiny synths like the Behringer ones. Its own [sample] sounds would then add to the ensemble.

If true, sounds like it will sort of fit my prediction of vanilla sound design, if any at all. More like Note: A few macros to alter the sound. And Move looking more like a portable Ableton satellite than a full fledged groovebox.over 1500 sounds and instrument presets
Still, SynthAnatomy showing a potential leak pic with the line in, which means sampler…. Which means more of a full fledged groovebox.
But USB A for MIDI?
Whatever, we’ll know soon enough.
Yo Leroy!
