The "Auto Saves" folders were my feature request. 😁👍
If you plan on purchasing your first Universal Audio hardware, you can get a free additional plugin. Just send a PM.

Even after installing all the other software the Downloadmanager needs, it does not work.
Can´t download the drumer content and nothing else.Strange.
The Download Manager is only a front end for Aria2, which is what actually does the downloading. Obviously check the settings to make sure you have permission for your download path. Then make sure things like firewalls / anti-virus aren’t blocking the Aria2 program from launching and making the download..

You can always Right-click, Set Up Sections, and turn off panel sections to take less space. Though I agree with you that the older way made better use of vertical pixels (EG MIDI Channel and Edit Instrument were perfectly fine on a single line instead of the two lines they now take). Not that I'd want this either - but they'd more of an argument for breaking out the track controls at the top, from Basic, since they're mostly duplicated on the right side with the default track view.

gotta say cubase has been what ive gone back to since se in 2004 and damn this is awesome....that other post about it being frustrating...i dont feel so at all....does everything very smoothly for me.

- makes s17 look pretty tame now.
- the drum track is really excellent
- event volume curves are a great addition, would like a pan version now...even event curves for all parameters

need a 'custom' panel.
i just need the stuff from the v12 basic panel, which is now spread over 2 panels. It sucks.
anyway, v12 has everything i need. I'm pretty satisfied with my workflow in it.
i'll save my upgrade for v18 or something.

I suggest you update your mysteinberg passwords. I just got hacked. Got an email from Steinberg telling me that my email address associated with my Steinberg ID has changed and now I can’t access my account, The email address was noted in the notification from Steinberg and I have contacted their privacy department.

The new GUI elements, buttons, spacing, pretty much everything is f**king crap.
It's harder to see and slows down workflow because it all just looks the same, and can't be quickly identified thus staying in the flow... there's no clearly defined sections anymore. The font isn't any easier to read either, i think it's harder to read.
Fuckity f**king f**k
I'm totally with you. Why should I care about new features if I can't properly see them. Cubase on Mac is so ugly. At least on Windows you can scale the UI.

Sadly this is what happends to these fashionable dark on darker skins/themes.
They just about only work in gray scales on the really dark side.

I saw that C14 is to support windows light and dark themes
- not sure what that means?

is that becoming a fully brighter skin also?

I have the same criticism against StudioOne actually
- sections in Inspector panels make you squint eyes to find what you look for
- maybe this improved since v4 I ran

Reaper mixer the same things
- found a ProTools skin that worked pretty well though
- why are devs so careless on these things?

Samplitude ProX8 really made a good dark theme that works.
- just as I find ProTools, more brownish, kind of
- careful choice of colors and enough contrast

Cakewalk adopted a skin system that allow for 3rd party.
- but really fond of the gray look on my good old Sonar(updated 2016)

Anyone know if Steinberg is going to do a Black Friday sale this year? Or was that 40% off sale a couple months ago the last big sale of the year?

I believe so but I could be wrong.

I suspect they did something, but I am sure it won't include cubase.
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Ii doubt for Cubase. No one release a product, and going on sale 3 week after.
May be Halion or Spectralayers 11

Not sure this has been mentioned already: Nuendo users will have to wait until early next year. They haven't finished developing all Nuendo-specific features yet.

Thank frick! I guess I'm still too used to Studio One where you can just click and drag to change things around.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care
