I am very impressed with the connect. I am disappointed that it does not have ADAT, but the features it offers are extremely well designed and implemented. It greatly enhances my workflow with Bitwig. I now enjoy working with it even more. I use the option to link sound cards in Linux. So far, I haven't noticed anything negative, but I haven't looked for anything either. Thank you Bitwig Team.

I have DT-880 pro and DT 770 250 ohms. The headphone amplifier sounds very good, but the volume doesn't quite match my Clarett+, although it's loud enough for mixing. With DT 770 80 ohms, everything sounds great, even when recording the Trumpet. The 990 PRO X (48 ohms) sounds excellent with the Connect.stoopicus wrote: Fri Sep 05, 2025 11:31 am Anyone using it with 250Ω headphones? Looks like the headphone output impedance is only 4Ω which is not promising.
Not the end of the world but surprising that on such a high end interface they didn't go with a 32Ω output impedance. Then again it's entirely bus powered and USB2 so maybe it's simply not meant to drive high impedance cans. Feels weird to need to buy a headphone amp with a $600 interface.

I also think it's good that they've focused primarily on integration with Bitwig and don't want to support all DAWs. If that means throwing standards out the window, that's fine with me. I have a few controllers that do that lying around here, but unfortunately, I don't enjoy using them. They're neither one thing nor the other. Connect fits so nicely into the Bitwig workflow that it feels very natural. I have a lot of respect for that. Of course, that's just my opinion.

Same as @justin3am, tested with DT 990 Pro and DT 1990 Pro (which also has 250Ω). The maximum volume is too loud for comfort but it doesn't blow up my ears (good!). I usually have the level at ~60-70%. In fact, I didn't even think about impedance as a potential problem with this audio interface until I saw the question above.

Is anyone here having contact problems with the USB-C port?

Not contact problems here. For what is worth it, I got one of those magnetic adapters to avoid plugging/unplugging every day (a power switch is the only thing I miss in the 4/12):
IVIVTOR USB C Magnetic Adapter - 140W PD Magnetic USB C Adapter - 40 Gbps USB-C Magnetic Plug 24 Pin Suitable for Laptop Tablet Mobile Phone

Mine arrived today and so far this thing seems very nice. very solidly built, the feel of the control knob and buttons just feels high quality. Audio input and output worked flawlessly out of the box. Control panel app seems nice. very happy and I haven't even tried it with Bitwig yet
Quick question - I didn't see it anywhere in the manual so I doubt it exists, but is there an input mute anywhere? I mean a temporary toggle so you don't have to turn the input gain down. Those are nice sometimes (unplugging guitars, etc).

Thank you for your feedback and recommendation. I bought one, but the cable comes loose very easily. That's far too dangerous for live performances.icaria36 wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 6:46 am Not contact problems here. I have not bought one yet, but I totally agree with you on that! I currently use a UA Twin USB and really appreciate that I can silence everything by simply pressing on the big volume wheel. Can it be that Bitwig has taken inspiration from this design? I mean, the very Bitwig Saga once began with some people wanting to design a new DAW and bringing together what they thought were the best features of the existing DAWs...stoopicus wrote: Wed Sep 10, 2025 10:28 am Quick question - I didn't see it anywhere in the manual so I doubt it exists, but is there an input mute anywhere? There's an immediate mute on the main outputs (that you can set to any level of dimming, it's quite nice.) Input mute is nice too though if it is there - didn't see it in the manual or Control Panel app though.

not with the supplied USB C cable but when I swapped it out for a longer one my system did not like it and I had to switch back

I also needed a longer cable and tried to find one of similar quality than the original. I got this one and no problem so far:
CAKOBLE USB C Cable to USB C 0.5 m, USB4 Cable with Thunderbolt 4 Cable, 40 Gbps Data Transfer, 240 W 48 V/5 A Fast Charging Cable, 8K @ 60 Hz Video Cable for MacBook, Docking Station, SSD

Unfortunately, I'm having problems with the original cable. I've written to support but haven't received a reply yet.
I've ordered a few cables to test.
The Lindy USB 3.1 Cable Type C/C 1.5m black line (consumer) has major problems.
The Anthare Line (Professional) is arriving today. I'll let you know how it goes.
The Ansmann USB-C 200 is okay. However, I can cause an interruption when moving the cable in a plug combination. The same connector side in the computer does not have this problem. Apparently, the USB port on my Connect is very picky.
The most reliable is the Focusrite cable that came with my Clarret+.
Since I want to use it in a live setup, it is important to me to completely eliminate this source of error.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
