In feedback loops bad things can happen, especially if dc is involved (you don’t hear the overload, just a knack when it reaches the limit).misha_sa wrote: Sat Feb 07, 2026 2:36 am+44 dB!? That’s way beyond any practical headroom. Was this on your actual working project, or just a stress test of the plugin running in “overburn” mode? I will revisit dsp chain, for soft clip at outputpekbro wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 8:34 pm A limiter might be a good idea for the new version… Demo totally froze at +44 db out
and was auto shut down by reaper. Win 11
A simple dc block (hi pass with a very low frequency) in the feedback chain can do wonders…

i already have dcblock in feedback path, for each delay lines in FDN. i think issue not in HPF. I experimented with mixing matrix in Omega and it's a bit different other than in Sigma and probably not so stableTj Shredder wrote: Tue Feb 10, 2026 12:33 pmIn feedback loops bad things can happen, especially if dc is involved (you don’t hear the overload, just a knack when it reaches the limit).misha_sa wrote: Sat Feb 07, 2026 2:36 am+44 dB!?
