- mutable clips

- usable track freezing freezing

- multi-channel audio-tracks

- audio loop-recording (yes, I know I know T2 - but when it comes out eXT will be able to wake me in the morning and after it prepared my breakfast :hihi:)

- automation clips with support for presets(which can easily be used as LFO's)

- built-in arpeggiator

- dockable vsti's

- vsti-search function

- browser with support for drag and drop

- it's skinable

- beat-slicing

- fantastic built-in sampler

and a lot more... :-D

oh, forget to add:

when you use the in-track editing you can resize each track and you can zoom each track individually - unlike with Tracktion this functionality is also there for audio tracks and unlike Tracktion eXT always remembers the individual state for each respective track...

yes, I know it's already impressive but there's more:

eXT has pattern based sequencing and you can mix pattern based sequencing
with linear sequencing and you can combine both in any way you like and soon you will be able to trigger the patterns by midi (and soon means soon but I think I already said that :hihi:)

oh, did I already mention its price? :?

39€!

b.t.w.:

to be fair here's the list of what Tracktion can do which eXT can't (besides fx-per-clip):

- micro-modularity

- Tracktion doesn't differ between midi and audio tracks

- it doesn't differ between inserts and synths

- it has a tap-tempo function

- it has support for tempo-changes

- it has support for odd time-signatures

- it has several project-management functions like:

- it can cleasn unused samples

- it can search samples which have been moved

- it has a 'replace-sample' function

- it can export a project as a bundle (including lossless file compression)

Would be handy. Wouldn't swap for proper object oriented audio clips though.
- usable track freezing freezing
we have that already. :P
- multi-channel audio-tracks
Do you work in surround? I don't..
- audio loop-recording
Coming very soon.. :hyper:
- automation clips with support for presets(which can easily be used as LFO's)
Sounds interesting, but T2 has very cool features for moving automation around..
- built-in arpeggiator
Tish! I have a selection of arpeggiator plugs to choose from..
- dockable vsti's
erm.. lock button?
- vsti-search function
I know where my VSTis are. :nutter:
- browser with support for drag and drop
Windows explorer?
- it's skinable
So is T2.
- beat-slicing
Easily achieved with Tracktion's object oriented audio clips, and auto-tempo feature..
- fantastic built-in sampler
Tracktion's sampler rocks, I use it all the time. No subsitute for Kontact of course, but it's not meant to be..
and a lot more...
..hassle. :P

Over to you..

nope - that's utter shite in Tracktion - almost unsuable for several reasons...

But I'll buy it for the sex though, why didn't you say so before?

Tracktion's freeze function delayed my PC upgrade by at least a year. How is that useless?
