I don't think my phone camera quite gives perfect representation of colours in tungsten lighting conditions..

knda like plugin effects. this is a great example of the difference in real hardware, and plugins. take this information and run with it. the truth hurts.
ill have a cup please! a cup of lesser offensive "waves" plugins.
suck it

noone else mix differently depending on what youre working on ???
IMHO there is no one-size-fits-all approach even within a single persons ouevre ...
... a fixed system will only limit you i reckon ...
... so ... pointless debate ... thread over ...

not me at least - even if it means to somewhat limit myself - surely I try to refine my production techniques so they evolve over time but it's not that I work like this one one track and like this on another because chances are I would do a bad job on both tracks! - good mixing is not something you learn in a few days - there's no need to make it even harder by jumping back and forth!pHz wrote:noone else mix differently depending on what youre working on ???

to set up a nice mixdown, the secret is to have ghosty hands:

or equally chances are you could respond pragmatically to the individual needs of each of the tracks mix-wise and produce two absolutely cracking pieces of production ...jens wrote:it's not that I work like this one one track and like this on another because chances are I would do a bad job on both tracks!

The local British pub makes killer fish n chips and they have some decent malt vinegar to dump on 'em too, unlike many places.todd sweetland wrote:i used to live in wales, when i was a kid ( military brat) im american.. i love both tea n coffee, i wish america would get on the boat with some good FISH N CHIPS though.....
Now I'm hungry!
ps. I do approach the mix on each song differently, depending on the idea/emotion/concept/feeling the song is supposed to invoke in the listener.
