Hi again. I was able to reproduce the issue on Mac using Ardour4. There it exhibited the behaviour you described (the step sequencer not resetting when starting host playback).
I then tested the same thing with the latest internal revision of Filterscape and everything is working fine.
So, there is a good chance that the next Linux beta will have this fix included. But don't ask me when this will be published, I have no clue about that. Just wanted to let you know that it's fixed.

Good to hear. Thank you.

Have You tried Ardour 5,3 in regards of the issue.
I think some sync issues have been solved in 5.1 or maybe 5.3

I tested under ardour 5.3 on linux, and it didn't work. I've tried lots of things to make this work in radium, so I really don't understand how it can work in other hosts, if it really does.

StudioDave wrote: I just checked this behavior with Ardour 5.1.15, my build from latest git sources. I tested ACE and Diva, right-clicking worked as expected, all menus appeared and work. What build are you using for Ardour ?
Hi Dave,

Thanks for responding!

I used the prebuild 5.0 from ardour.org and just tested with the new prebuild 5.3.0, still no luck.

It seems to be a mouse event issue, not a right click issue. I started Ardour from the command line and this is the output when I click on Presswerk:

On "INT VIEW":

Code: Select all

AM_ViewMan::handleMouseDown
AM_ViewControl_StateUndo
AM_ViewMan::addUndoObject inUndoObject == 0: 0
M_Select 0
AM_ViewMan::sortMenus() is not yet ready to go (Cocoa menu Index bug)
validateUndo
AM_ViewControl_StateUndo::end()
MouseUp Without Tracking
failed to read menu output: Resource temporarily unavailable
The "Undo" arrow lights up, but no menu.

Clicking on the u-he logo and the GUI:

Code: Select all

AM_ViewMan::handleMouseDown
validateUndo
currentUndoObject == NULL
MouseUp Without Tracking
failed to read menu output: Resource temporarily unavailable
No menus shows up

Clicking the Save button

Code: Select all

AM_ViewMan::handleMouseDown
validateUndo
currentUndoObject == NULL
MouseUp Without Tracking

Everything else seem to be normal. I can click on stuff in order to push buttons, adjust parameters and double click to reset to default values. The same feedback comes when I use Presswerk inside Mixbus32C 3.6 as well.

I will monitor this thread a few days in the hope that someone from u-he responds. If not, then I will contact Harrison about it.

kmatheussen wrote: Hi, I've tried Radium under OSX too now, and it doesn't work. I guess it must be something in Ardour, Reaper and Radium that makes filterscape fail. As I said, I've checked the timing data sent to filterscape from radium, and it was all good as far as I could see. Is there a different way to tell the plugin that we start playing than setting the kVstTransportChanged and kVstTransportPlaying flags?
Oh, there was a bug in Radium actually. ppqPositionOfLastBarStart wasn't reset when restarted playing, until the next bar. The step sequencer in Filterscape works as it should now. Guess I didn't check the values good enough.

Edit: But if you don't start playing exactly at a bar start, it still takes a couple of bars until filterscape gets in sync. Hopefully it's working in the latest internal revision.

Does anyone know if Zebra2 HZ will be available for us Linux users ?
I have slowly started to buy U-He software every now and then but Z2HZ seems to be out of reach as for now.

Checked the KVR Linux Beta forum and found no Linux Build for Zebra HZ
The U-he page describing Zebra HZ only mention Windows and Mac

Where can I find info about the Linux Z2HZ ?

In fact, most your pages need an update. I don't think Linux is mentioned anywhere, for any of the products?
